Do we all think City will get between now and the end of the season?

14 games to go, so 42 points up for grabs.

I think we should be capable of getting 22 points under NP.
I believe, if NP can get the players we have playing to their full potential, I still think we could still sneak in the playoffs......stranger things have happened!!

I think that is a stretch, but agree that is at least plausible, look at Cardiff, doing absolutely nothing 6 weeks ago, and now knocking on the door of the Play-Offs.

Who would have predicted Brentfords last 3 games? So unpredictable this league....you just never know!!

Supcon pal - we were doing absolutely nothing just 4 weeks ago not 6. Mick has changed things around in just a month with 17 points from 7 games up till now - hope it wont be just those 17 from 8 after tonight though.

Nothing to stop you lot emulating that under Pearson. I'm sure with his experience he'll dig out the potential at your club and make the changes in personel/system/shape necessary to get you back on track.

The number of points either of us will pick up from here on in is a minefield but always a good talking point this time of every season. The 22 you mention from the final 14 games would be a huge improvement over recent results, but no good for either of us in playoff terms - I think it will take 72+ for that.

What it would do is ensure we can both go again in the same division next season - hopefully with the same managers we both have now. <ok>

OS, I stand corrected<laugh><laugh> I hope NP can do for us what MM has done for you. I see both our squads as pretty similar and should be in and around the play-off hunt.

I think that the first target is 9 points for safety and then unlike previous seasons, where we have been told that we are going to go for it, this time we actually do go for it and if that going for it falters, then play the kids, they deserve it.

We have had massive changes, 3 changes of leadership at the top, 2 different sets of coaches, different ideas, methods, applications, combine that with the injury list the guy has a lot to deal with, having said that he knows the task and things can only get better.

3 points last night is a great starting point, I am going to guess 24 points, how is that for ambition?

Totally off topic but are you old enough to remember Brian Clark playing for Cardiff and especially his legendary goal against Real Madrid in a European cup quarter final was it?

As a young kid I was gutted when he left us for Huddersfield, I have never been able to get to the bottom of why he left us.

Yes - unfortunately.......<laugh>

Was there as a young teenager (just) with my dad in the right hand granstand enclosure - I couldn't believe the crush.

Earliest ECWC game I attended was as a slightly younger sprog - the 3-2 defeat by SV Hamburg at NP in around '68?

Definitely one we let get away, I could just imagine the sort combination him and John Galley might have been together.

Nice guy - attended at NP as a hospitality host before his death some years back. I think he just saw the opening of our new stadium before he passed away.

Hard worker on the pitch as well as his ability. He was something of a boyhood hero to me playing alongside Toshack.

A huge boyhood hero of mine as well, a strike force of Clark, Atyeo and Williams for much of 60's, he went to Huddersfield from us in a swap for Johnny Quigley, who was a great servant for us. But would rather have kept Clark if i'm honest.
