Can't speak for other derbies but the atmosphere at a NLD is electric, tense and poisonous.
I think it's a positive thing that people are friendly before hand...that's the biggest difference to the awful days of football fans trying to kill each other at games. At least today's hateful ****s **** off and slash each other away from the game

It's the full season we're after
That’s proper small time, ****ty behaviour that like.

Really...they have a famous name but one of the biggest clubs in the world... really ?
They are guaranteed top 2 but have made it into group stages of the CLjust 4 times in the past 11 seasons...less than us.

Fans going to the game together just sounds alien to me for a derby like. Last time us and Pompey were in the same division they literally banned away fans from making their own way to the match ffs
Agree that it's a shame it has to be like that though.

Rangers and Celtic are 2 of the biggest clubs around. Imo being a big club is more about history and following around the world etc, not recent results in a European competition. Theres only 2 clubs in England that can match the Old Firm for this, and thats Liverpool and United. The likes of City, Chelsea, even Spurs and Arsenal have been manufactured into “big” clubs. Take their money away and there wouldn't be much left.

I never get the "what's the best, most intense derby" debate tbh.
No matter what the derby, all the fans involved have the same passion/footie hate/ passion/hope/desperation.
For Dundee and Dundee Utd fans their derby is every bit as important as Celtic v Rangers and the pasdions run just as deep.

Walk round any city in Europe (indeed the world) and there is a good chance you will see a Celtic shirt ... only United, Pool and the 2 Spanish giants have that kind of fan base ... that's my point ... Rangers do OK too tbf ... Not forgetting Celtic have won a European Cup as well as all those domestic trophies.

I'm hoping Rangers get one of you ****s in the next round of the Thursday plate![]()
I’d include Arsenal too, seem to have a massive fan base for some reason, probably off the back of the Fergie rivalry. And Milan (AC).

Pick me pick me pick me... please.

Basically man United have always been big and you bigger like Microsoft. Chelsea and city are the new kids on the block like Google and Amazon.
