Villa n Brum 'closest' lol? That's far superior to the NLD.

I never get the "what's the best, most intense derby" debate tbh.

No matter what the derby, all the fans involved have the same passion/footie hate/ passion/hope/desperation.

For Dundee and Dundee Utd fans their derby is every bit as important as Celtic v Rangers and the pasdions run just as deep.

Yeah but that's no fun to talk about on a Sunday morning.

I missed the point Pinkie was making about Leicester too tbf and he's right.

We are within 30 miles of Forest, Derby and Cov ... and share a county border with each ... always fun days out ... Forest and Derby see each other as number 1 for sure ... Cov possibly us ... but nobody likes Villa.

Yeah that's what I mean, Lesta don't really have an intense local rivalry, like Villa/Brum, Arsenal/Spurs, Southampton/Portsmouth.

As you say, Coventry are probably geographically the closest, but that's a bit meh really.

I was laughing about that for ages. Funny as ****.

Think I've told you before but I was also there when you were relegated from the second tier up at Forest in a 2-2 draw. They were already down iirc.

I know it was 2005 as a week before/later I saw us get relegated too lol.

Things are about to get worse in Kent football, I keep reading about clubs gradually going over one by one. Maidstone the other week couldn't put a team together and furloughed all their employees. Dover are refusing to play anymore games this season. Ebbsfleet, were already struggling from the season before.

Amaxing stats 2

Spurs are bad...really bad...boring as ****...can't defend ot attack...we are so **** that even Liverpool beat us!

Since Jan 1st premier league games:

pool P9 W2 D1 L6 pts 7 F9 A15 GD-6
Spurs P8 W3 D1 L4 pts 10 F10 A 10 GD0

So despite playing a game less spurs have won more, lost fewer, got more points, scored more and conceded less.

Very spursy to be fair
The red ****es form is even worse tbf, as they’ve now taken 9 points out of the last 11 league games.

Less than 1 PPG average, that’s literally relegation form.

Any idea what's happening with Dartford ?

My old man used to work in Dartford, and Arsenal would sometimes have pre season games / youth games there.

Try a night out in Nuneaton after that game ... <laugh>

<laugh> ... well Cov at least know we exist ... the London Prem teams, if they think of you at all, is as being a slightly less bothersome version of Reading.

This would make sense if I was attempting to draw some sort of equivalence between us playing a bigger London club and the North London derby. Cov v Lesta ffs.

Other team's rivalries always seem a bit meh unless you're a fan of one of those teams. But if you know, you know.

Anyway, what do you make of Brenda being linked with Spurs ? I know it's just a rumour, but could be a good move if you can get him

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is a leading contender to replace Jose Mourinho as Tottenham manager - after nearly landing the job nine years ago.

They are National League South, the same as Ebbsfleet, so their season will have been null and void.

I'd agree with you but I also think it gets a bit diluted by the fans drawn from the peripheries... I live in Hertfordshire and there is just about an even split between Goonz and Spuds in places like St Albans and Harpenden etc they all travel to the derby games on the Thameslink together with little hint of any bad feeling.

I never get why we are so important to them tbh. The only killer game to lose is the NLD.
****ing hate that game...feel nervous all week, wake up feeling sick gets worse until the final whistle and I spend the 90 mins praying to a god I don't believe in that the useless mofos don't break my heart.

1999- 2008 was ****ing horrendous tbh.

Can't even watch the game unless I'm there or at a pub with mates...always go out for a walk to avoid the stress of it. Can't even describe the homicidal rage that losing induces <grr>
No other game does that.

As for our actual cup final...gotta enjoy the build up cos they will do to us what they did to Arsenal (at best) or, God forbid, what they did to Watford <yikes>

Love all London derbies, West Ham’s still a big game for us in my opinion.

They’re our quarter final so to speak. Chelsea semi. Arsenal final.

First set of fixtures I look for at the start of the season.

Genuinely feel sorry for fans whose clubs don’t have a proper rivalry with others. They’re the games that make it that bit more special each season.

This <ok>

First fixture we look for is the Arsenal v Spurs one. Are we at home or away first ? When is it ? Can we catch them cold ? Is it right in amongst a heavy fixture list ?

Literally looking for any little chink that might give a miniscule advantage <laugh>

Can't stand Rodgers...that ****ing one arm celebration makes him look an irritating twat.

Honestly can not see why he'd leave Leicester to join us. They will have CL football next season, have a balanced squad and have a sensible transfer system whereas we resemble a car crash!
