This true I hope to god he’s ok
Played a friendly about 30 years ago and two players collided innocuously one fell over
Broke his neck and died several days later- freak accident but bothered me and team mates for quite some time
So crossed everything for George
Yes,when you put it in that context, there should be little or no bickering on here tonight! We need to know if the lad's alright,he's one of ours and we should all recognise that.

The ref was garbage, but wasn't responsible for us being ****e in the second half.

The penalty wasn't a penalty, it was an excuse to make up for not giving the one that was a penalty earlier.

The equalising free kick wasn't a free kick either, he just threw himself to the deck, but then about half the free kicks weren't free kicks.
Definite pen and definite free kick
We can’t applaud honeyman for throwing himself to the ground at every little touch and complain when they do it
Bogle rolled burke, Coyle should have been nearer to him
Wilks had his hands all over him and roles reversed would have dived too

Who applauds him for that? I hate it, same with Wilks, I'd rather they stayed on their feet and we didn't get a free kick.

Three one and we ****ed it up.

Simple as.

We tore them apart at times and should have been out of sight.

And by that I mean four goals to the good.

That miss by KLP was criminal. His finishing since his return from contract exile has been poor but that was literally handed to him on a plate.

Well, not literally, because the keeper didn't have a plate about his person, but he might as well have done.

The ref was dog ****e and their last 2 goals came from poor decisions but he made enough our way to cancel that out. Donny took their chances is all.

So who or what to blame?

Injuries?

Certainly. It disrupted us when Docherty went off. Obviously going down to ten men when Honeyman went off was not ideal.

Not sure that cost us though.

Lack of leadership on the pitch?

Possibly. We looked nervous for the last thirty minutes. Where was the authoritative voice?

Poor goalkeeping?

Position your wall correctly? Dive and attempt a save?

Sorry, Ingram had a 'mare today.

Poor management?

Yep. Our manager is not capable of reacting to other teams changes and because of this we will not get automatic promotion, although we have the strongest squad in the league. However, I'll be surprised if we don't get into the play offs.

That's my take on things.

Disagree with me if you want, but be aware that I won't give a **** if you do.

Ingram dropped a couple first half Ernie but no way in the world is he at fault for the free kick. Superb by coppinger
And I know this will hurt you deep down

Hysterical!!!!!!!
There were two stone wall hand balls
He didn’t give

the ref had nothing whatsoever to do with our second half display
Terry however did
The first one hit Coyle in the face and the second one, was never an intentional handball. It was ball to hand from virtual point blank range. Did you think the one he gave was a penalty then or did the Donny player play for it and the ref under pressure from the hysterical appeals for the other two bowed under the pressure and gave it ?
The ref was poor from the off, despite this the football from both teams in the first half was exceptional. He missed the obvious targeting of Honeyman and failed to act, yet booked him. Bryan Hughes commented more then once that he also thought that some of his decisions and the offsides were questionable. His handling and then booking of Docherty when he went down with a groin injury was appalling.
Donny were the better team in the second half and there is no disputing that but the ref constantly blowing for free kicks in their favour didn't help us or the flow of the game. He gave eight free kicks in succession to Donny at one stage in the second half, and in what was becoming a feisty game only booked City players, and McCann.
I thought our subs were wrong and didn't see what Whyte or Emmanuel brought to the game, and of course that wasn't down to ref.
Having said all of that, a draw was probably a fair result although it seems like a defeat.
I also find it odd that in a game when the ref blew for everything, we have a player in hospital tonight in a neck brace and not only didn't we get a free kick for the incident, he never saw it either.

I haven't watched it back Chazz and you may be right. But he never ****ing moved.

At that point I stormed off like a petulant ballet dancer who had had his glissade derriére called into question, and I've been otherwise engaged with my normal Satdee night football avoidance tactics.

I think my other reflections stand though.

Sometimes mate you just have to applaud a good free kick

Didn't you just know they would score from it ? The wall was all over the place and Donny were steaming at that late stage in the game and we lacked a bit of experience at that crucial time. First of all the free kick was a very soft one to concede, secondly, Donny were forcing the pace when we should have been slowing the taking of the free kick down, taking the sting our of it if you like, a player going down with a head injury usually buys you a few minutes respite in situations like that. Positioning a player on the post might have helped too.
All hindsight, and it was an excellent, if not totally predictable free kick.

In stoppage time, with Doncaster trailing, in his final season for the club, wearing a kit he designed to mark the occasion, yes, yes I did know he would score it. I wouldn't have believed it more if the ****ing National Lottery hand had come down and boomed out "it's you" as it flicked Matt Ingram out the way as the ball flew in.

We should have been out of site before they got back into it. If KLP puts it away, they’re not going to come back. But from the kick off in the second half, they were all over us, absolute disastrous second half. As soon as I saw Coppinger come on, I said he’d score. We were unlucky in the first half not to be 4 or 5 up, in the second half, we were lucky not to be 5 or 6 down. Bostock was the game changer, along with Doc going off, things went downhill quickly.
McCann really didn’t have an answer for Bostock. The players looked knackered at the end, no changes from Wednesday’s game was always going to catch up with them.
