1-1 is a useful result with an away goal.

Should have won this game really though. Benfica didn’t really offer any attacking threat and we gifted them a pen.

I don't think it is tbh. As we saw against Olympiacos last year, scoring one goal isn't always enough in these games, especially as I don't expect Benfica to be as bad as that in the return leg. Speaking of which, the return leg isn't even at The Emirates, it's in Greece, so the 'advantage' is diminished to a degree.

Benfica weren't all that. We weren't either, but we had the better chances and our captain decided to miss a few sitters.

The 2nd leg is a 50-50 for me, when in reality, tie could have been over tonight.

The away goal gives us an advantage, but we should have put this game to bed long before we gave away the pen.

Spurs and Utd get to play at home. But yeah it's a mind **** trying to work out which countries have which rules. Think Spurs only get to play at home because Wac Pellets or whatever the **** they are called have agreed to fly indirectly back to wherever the **** they come from.
