Hadn't played for 4 months or something before signing for us. 2 games a week, he's bound to get game time soon enough.

Other teams have very good players on loan. I imagine they have access to these types of players because they have a history of actually playing their loanees.

I think some people view football on just assists and goals.

Gooch has been very good for us of late, retaining the ball in attacking areas, allowing the likes of McGeady to get up the pitch and join in.

Gooch is only just getting back to full fitness and I believe that he will be massive for us from here on in. Before his injury he was undoubtedly our best player IMO.

To say that somebody who we’ve barely seen is better than him is bizarre and fickle, to be honest.

I hope that Jones is quality for us, but he will have to wait his turn due to the recent performances and results of those who are in front of him.

My son signed him on fifa, he’s played every game but keeps moaning about not getting enough game time, asked for a new contract about a month after signing and put a transfer request in after less than six months. Perhaps he’s a bit of a nob. ( joke- I know fifa isn’t real life!)

Hoping he starts on Saturday, for Gooch. He'll be quality in this league, given the chance. He could've gone to some championship clubs but Johnson convinced him to come here, then doesn't play him.

Not sure he's as much of a goal threat as Gooch is, he's never really scored much throughout his career but Gooch has shown he can. I thought he (Gooch) held the ball up well against Doncaster allowing others to get forward. He may be lacking that final ball recently but he's doing stuff besides.

If they're working with stats and analytics we'll regularly see players drop out at what looks like odd times to us.

I must say I haven’t seen anything from Jones yet to understand the clamour for his involvement. That’s not to say he isn’t good and won’t be an asset going forward mind.

Mcgeady didn’t play for nearly a year and Johnson has had him in the starting line up ever since. So I’m not buying that not match sharp ****e.
McGeady is a seasoned pro who knows how to manage his game and played half games and 60 minutes before getting up to speed. Jones is a young lad who looks good but has to work a lot harder than McGeady. Needs to be sharper.

besides, things aren’t exactly going terribly atm so it’s no issue in my book.

Looks like we have another manager who doesn’t like playing his own signings. Bizarre really as he’s twice the player of Gooch.

I am not Gooch's biggest fan, but he does score now and again. However for me, with the proviso all you see is one camera shot, Jones has proved nothing as yet with his limited game time.

So the 4 new players, 2 are injured, 1 is still not match fit and the other was not a resounding success at LB.
