Trump could face a number of legal issues, but we all know how they tend to go with rich people.
He's had plenty of time to plunder the US, so it might depend on whether he's nicked enough to pay back those massive debts.

Quite. I don’t recall any olive branches being offered in the immediate aftermaths of Trump’s victory or various votes here.

I don't get this, Trump didn't win, Biden did?

I personally voted that Biden would win, until I changed it to Bobby. I've no idea what other people went for. Those that voted Trump are probably all on GC now.

The US, for all it's many faults, is probably the one jurisdiction on earth where this isn't always the case. The Us legal system has quite a good record of incarcerating the rich and powerful (though Trump pardoned a few recently).

really? I'm pretty sure i read it was more the other way round? The rich and powerful typically get off with chump change sentences if they are even convicted as long as you are rich and white. The little mans the one that goes in the slammer for donkeys

In most countries, yes. America though, seems to take pleasure in bringing rich and powerful people to justice. Conrad Black, Bernie Maddoff, Guzman Loreia, Geoffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Roger Stone, Mike Flynn (the last two pardoned by Trump and released from gaol) - these are rich and well connected people but their money and connections didn’t keep them from the slammer.

That’s not say there aren’t loads of poor people serving long terms because they had **** lawyers; just that the US has a far better record than any other country when it comes to bringing down the power by law.

Just looking at their response to the financial crash compared to ours proves your point . At worst our shysters had to resign theirs faced huge fines and Jail time .

The way to get punished for criminality in America when you're rich is for your victims to also be rich.
Bernie Madoff is the obvious example.

The concept of Presidential pardons in the US is just wrong ... a crime is a crime ...
The concept has some merit in a few cases, such as the Vietnam draft dodgers or those convicted of minor marijuana possession charges.
It's widely misused though, even before Trump just openly taking the piss with it.

He’s been undead for about 20 years, so don’t count on his radio show getting cancelled anytime soon.
A thoroughly charming man. Wasn’t he the one who spent years preaching about drug abuse, whilst simultaneously dropping bucket loads of unprescribed opiates and opioids for donkeys?
