You're wasting your time they don't understand the difference it makes putting next in the sentence and are too focused on the word existence which is irrelevant
If I say the most important thing that ever happened was it's completely different to saying the next most important thing is.
The next most important game in Newcastle Uniteds existence is always the next game.

The next game on tv everton v Fulham is the most important game of our existence
This says the most important game in our existence NOT the next most important game.
There’s a difference between the next most important game in our existence and THE most important game in our existence which is what was posted
The next most important game in our existence is now Chelsea then the next most important game is Burnley vs Fulham.

I said that the next game. The next actual physical game being played. Which was Everton v Fulham. Was important and has a direct impact on our sheer existence in the PL. I wasn’t wrong. It’s a massive result for them and a massive hit for us.
There’s no contextual inference at all. I was speaking about one game and it’s importance on everyone’s season. It’s impact on us might be catestrophic.
