Jamie Redknapp spot on (makes a change) with his comments on Mourinho. The modern game isn't one of discipline and tough love - players need to feel loved and wanted at this level.

I suppose when most starting premier league players are on £50k+ per week, there is no financial motivation, so if your gaffer is treating you like crap, you will quite happily sulk and keep picking up the paycheck from the comfort of the bench.

Alternatively, the paternalistic/military model of discipline and fear-based management was always stupid, in sport and in business.

Just watching MotD... good work by Brighton in the community, especially sending Twatbeard up for a questions session with a local school on Maths using Fantasy Football...

kid 1: “I’ve got you down as an attacking midfielder”

Lallana: “yes that’s right”

kid 2: “I’ve got you down as zero goals” and laughs

Lallana: “Oi, leave that”

<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

Well, looks like Man Utd will have a penalty for them overturned.

So ****ing what. Seriously, i think the main complaint, from me anyhow, is the **** going directly against us.

I’d imagine after every controversial incident, they get straight on the blower, and tell them to be extra vigilant in the next game.

I think the main issue with everyone seems to be the complete lack of consistency Tom. In our game there were 2 different decisions on the same incident. Again, both went for us.

I cant be arsed to count up, but I imagine since we “could” have got a penalty for handball at Craven Cottage, we have had 10-15 highly contentious incidents going against us.

Why did they make him go to the screen when he was clearly offside? Bonkers.

That was weird. Because if Pawson had decided not to overturn (not that I think there was any risk that he would), does that mean the VAR would have gone back to him said, "Oh, ****, OK. Hang on a second then, wait a bit longer whilst I get the lines out".

Although whilst on the subject of penalties, we all know this is set up for Bruno to win it from the spot in the 94th minute.

Not even sure it needed the lines really. Miles off by VAR standards. Really weird.
