Nice for five minutes. Probably take me that long to get comfy. I used to work as a pavement artist around the South East, painting pictures in chalk. Nice work in nice weather bad in January and tough on the knees.
Did some busking in Paris once with a flautist. Didn't make any money until we got someone to go round with a hat.
 
I used to get along well with a number of buskers - we swapped tips about good towns to visit and where to avoid (Tunbridge Wells was one I never returned to after getting attacked by an eighty year old with a stick). Woolwich and Bexleyheath were a bit unpleasant - schoolkids nicking money was a pain in Bexleyheath and horrible in Woolwich.

That's a nice photo - I'd guess it's from WW2. A bit odd for a painting though- sparse crowd and the guy who seems to be an air raid precautions official is watching for an air raid rather than the pitch.

I'm trying to do one of Sam Bartram, but it keeps slipping down the pecking order as changing from B/W to colour is a real business.
