It appears to be infinitely more likely at this stage that he did indeed make that call. On one hand we have Bruce telling us that he asked for another coach, someone to help with the transition they were trying to make, and Jones was his first choice. On the other hand the only dissenting voices to this statement from Bruce, is our fans who want to hate Bruce, and so have created a load of alternative reasons why Jones was appointed. We all know in football, you don't always find out the true story. At this stage however, given the evidence at hand, our fans are looking like a bunch of prima donna idiots looking for something to complain about.
how do you explain Bruce’s ****ty attitude and mopey face whenever Jones’s name was mentioned to him then? It’s like getting a pressie at Xmas and acting like you hate it. Or a blozza off someone’s lass and you sit on your phone typing away on not606 whist her fella is at work...
His face has never changed all season. His ****ty attitude is understandable. The fans are using even positives and turning them into negatives. I just look purely from an evidential side of things, and the evidence weighs in heavily for Mr Bruce at present. Indeed our fans are looking a right set of little bitches if truth be told.

Bruce has claimed he's been getting death threats from nufc fans. in truth Alex Bruce has been reading things like 'I hope he dies of covid 19', which is a terrible thing to say, but not a death threat as Bruce described it in his presser, but the media of course are going strong. Bruce imo hates Newcastle fans and I don't blame him. I hate these fans.. Idiots.... Now blaming Alex bruce for goading them.. Just don't say it ffs. You see them all swamping the haters threads taking the bait and then we all get labelled with their ****e.

Must confess, I did send a tweet to Alex ages ago. I just said something along the lines of "can't you just tell you dad to have a go, he only gets one shot at this, why is he screwing that up with ****ty defensive football? He can win people round by just having a go". I think I sent it around 45 minutes into the second Leeds game. You're welcome.
Every football team has these type of fans and it’s pandemic of social media and general society. That being said this is effectively “labelling” Newcastle fans when in reality it isn’t isolated to Nufc. But the media have jumped on it to back up Bruce and to knock us back down to where they want us. To say it’s just our fans and club with a problem is unfair, Biased and not a true reflection of us.
Talksport like agendas. Durham was hammering out the Bruce Out message a week or two ago. They are the kings of flip flop reporting. Do they run segments on when other clubs managers get hounded out? Where were they when the mackems hounded out Bent by racially abusing his mum (allegedly)? Did they pick up on the pic of the mackem doing a monkey dance to a black player? Nope... our fan base is bigger.... and they like to get a reaction... to they poke the bear. I haven't listened to that station for about 5 years now. I prefer LBC as at least I know they don't disguise politics.
I agree. it's piss weak journalism when they take the actions of one or two of the minority and indirectly/directly try to link it to the majority. How do they know it isn't a Mackem with a fake account (s) hammering Bruce? I have a fake twitter account I use making me out to be a Mackem (no Trev... I'm talking current tense you **** ) and I've used it before to ask really intentionally dopey questions of the players back in the day, signing off with 'Marra' and 'FTM' to joke about their stereotype. It's not beyond the wit of man for a six fingered soap dodger to use a sock account to give a manager grief as a so called 'NUFC' fan. Just because it seems to be a few NUFC fans, it doesn't necessarily mean it is....
