LJ put us in this curve, he was the original yes man and ended getting sacked for it, Holden and I hate to say it has continued the journey as we spiral downward, the real cause is top management taking the cheapest optional choice, an inexperienced number 2.I think we are in real trouble. I hope all those who wanted LJ out for his lack of success are happy now!!! You’re now all seeing how good a job LJ did as our HC!
I just find it baffling that SL continues to willingly pump millions into the club, be it through the stadium, or the training ground, or recruitment (which to be fair at times has been very good) - and yet will then refuse to budge from a structure which seemingly never allows a competent head coach to come in and be given the control he needs.
I can't knock him at all for the backing he's given the club, he's transformed it. The problem is he is happy to fund us 99% of the way there, but will never go ahead with the final 1% piece which could actually take us to the Premier League.
Why spend all that money on this decent (and in some cases exceptional) young talent if you're never going to spend the money on the correct leader?
If we somehow got relegated, on paper this squad would be miles ahead of anything else in League One. And yet it's somehow a possibility.
Think I would be happy with Howe & Tindall as I'm a supporter of his/their style of football.....But Ashton would need to be forced to take a step back and let them get on with it their way................................SL is the only one that can make that happen..IMO.......question is, does he have the desire and would Howe want to come here??Rob glad your back on the scenefor me the manager is the most important part of the jigsaw-would you send a ship to sea without a captain-would you send aa plane into the air without a pilot.
For me look at the bears top top coach and top of the prem.
Eddie Howe is the man perfect fit-but Ashton would need to go with Holden.
Howe and Tindall there is the perfect setup.

I’m not sure he would for one, but it ain’t happening anyway, there’s no way SL is going to make the changes necessary , he wouldn’t do it in normal times and certainly not in these uncertain Financial Times.Yes he would with the right backing.
next 5 games will a real marker on the season so far … under the circumstances it is reasonable to compare this 5 with same period last season however up till now DH has been losing key players, but since January window has had strengtheners added ins /returns whereas LJ had a couple injury and lost BROWNHILL … so DH whom I totally support, has to average out 16 of the next 24 points! ….THATS MINIMUM.. to say he has done well !Next 5 games I see big problems ahead.

I'd have agreed with you a few weeks ago when they couldn't buy a win, but now nor can we, and we're playing rubbish and not creating any chances as well. Sheffield United have since picked up a bit and whilst they know they are already all but relegated, this is their chance to at least make some money. A comfortable home win for me, but hope I'm wrong.I've got a weird feeling we will sly a win against Sheff Utd tomorrow and then go back to being predictably crap for the other league games.
