Risharbt Pant is playing like it's a T20 game,if he stays around for a couple of hours,he'll make a big hole in Englands 578.Pujara moved on to 53 from 108 balls.
Pant moves on to 52 from 40 balls

Our bowlers are looking tired now, which is understandable in that heat and humidity.
India looking much more comfortable on 182-4.

A fluky dismissal of Pujara off a ricochet for Bess. England needed that though and India still need 187 more to avoid the follow-on.

Lovely bit of luck gives us a boost.
I'm not sure we would enforce the follow on even if we get the chance.

221-5 is still a good scoreline for England, especially as India have got there playing risky cricket. Oh for a top class spinner.

2nd inning batting going to be much harder for both teams. If England want to win surely they have to enforce the follow on if they get the chance? Otherwise timed out?

oops, typing while Pant got out......

Good cricket.

Tiredness will be a factor, but we should enforce the follow-on in my opinion.

The follow on decision here could be right either way.
I suspect we may rest the bowlers whilst having a bash with the bat.
Batting last will be very tricky for India, even though we don't have a top class spinner.

Time will be a factor, if we bat next send in the big hitters first and try for a very quick 100-150 leaving India a chase for the last day and a half

Depends on how long it takes England to get the last 4 wickets but doubt very much that they'll enforce the follow on.......but they'll probably want at least 4 sessions at bowling them out a 2nd time so there could be a couple of hours of mayhem from stokes and buttler to set it up......could be fun....

England 86-4 in their second innings, leading by 327. They're going to have to bat on after tea now with all results possible. I still think we should have enforced the follow on.

The bowlers needed a rest from the heat and humidity.
