To celebrate this, there there faces in stones around a tree at Middleway Park. They were made at a time before pre-fabricated materials, when everything was hand-crafted and every object was imbued with the personality of its maker. They are shown emerging from the ground, like the first heads of a "terracotta army", referring to Burton's half forgotten past.
