Messi scores 650th Barcelona goal in win over Bilbao
Lionel Messi scores his 650th goal for Barcelona with a wonderful free-kick as they beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 to move up to second in La Liga.
Absolutely mad the amount of goals he’s scored and I’ll bet almost non were tap ins.

For £123million a year you expect these things. Financial Fair Play. Isn't it wonderful?

Step son read through the money and add ons in his contract. What an absolute joke. Presume he pays the higher rate of tax in Spain?

His contact is for him to be paid a certain amount nett of tax. For him to get that amount they need to pay him £123 million a year gross. Of course he brings them a fair amount in but it is still ridiculous that a club can be a billion in debt and offer someone turned 30 a contract worth half a billion. Especially when there is supposed to be something called FFP.

We both read Martin Samuel and know the absurdity of it all!
If one of us Sunderland or Pompey don’t go up this season we’re going to be in trouble with the salary cap.

It was touch and go that he signed for Barca when he was 13.
His dad threatened to take him to Real Madrid when they were humming and arghing over his height and stature and whether to sign him.
I saw Messi play 4 years ago and he run the show.
Absolutely stupid money though.

Yes, Martin Samuel is always worth a read. Some people who claim they are better informed because they don't read MSM but are always saying they didn't know that could do with reading him and some others.
For all the harm and upset the Allams have done they have, albeit inadvertently, left us in a healthier position than other perceived big clubs.
Didn't we get fined for being in breach of FFP when we unexpectedly played in Europe. Ridiculous.

Flat track bully.

Wouldn't look so silky playing on a ploughed field in an early Seventies, mid January night match against Stoke when he's man marked by a couple of throwbacks to the Neanderthal era.

In driving sleet...

And a Force 10 gale...

With a big, heavy, soggy leather ball...

And a pair of clunky boots with nails sticking up on the inside...

The pampered **** him.

It rained when I saw him in 2018 Ernie. He had a dolly bird with a Brolly holding it over his head all game! Followed him everywhere she did
Don’t know they’re born these days

Could have easily avoided that by not playing the game on the plains.

Stupid Spaniards don't even understand how their own climate works.

All true. He'd only have been worth 120,000 mill. quid per year under those conditions.
