I think we are well short in central mid, little creativity and no box to box player. This guy is only 22 has represented England all levels to U20, so sounds like he might fo a job.

I was thinking the same thing Steels ... wondered if Charlie gave a recommendation. He was on their squad, so must have promise.
Let’s hope he has a good loan with us. Welcome Sam.
 
I like the signing. Haven’t seen too much of him admittedly but fits the criteria of what we should be looking for in the loan market. The option to make it a perm is great, if it works well then we have a promising young player in that position, potential re-sale value etc.

We definitely need cover for Dom Ball in there considering he’s a walking yellow card typically.

Field was on loan at Charlton last season, a Charlton mate reckons he is a good player, a defensive midfielder with good ball control. All sounds promising.

Sorry to have to say this, but they also let Austin leave and come to us on loan...which suggests to me they are looking for players a step above our current level. If we can get players who aren't quite making it into the top 3 sides, but can still do a very good job for us, that works for me. Its a starting point at least.

Big Sam doesnt usually play midfielders....he usually manages to avoid these type of players. As so far as Charlie, goes, not sure he is someone that Big Sam fancies.........
Let's hope the scouts have doen their homework and he can bring something to the table. If he can score winning goal when we play Blackburn - Im sure he will get legendary status
