I think football was in his spare time.<laugh>

Went to Preston 1970 or 1971. Went in a club they had at the ground and had a great steak and a few pints. There was a bit of a stir. It was because Tom Finney had turned up outside. It is fair to say that few, if any modern players, will receive the respect and affection he was shown by fans of all ages. A shame everyone didn't have the means to take photos back then. We were briefly in the presence of the great man but to have had a photo as a momento would have been priceless.

Glad you spotted the sarcasm.

Personally, thought he was a better footballer, with more strings to his bow and deeper talent than Stan the Man.
