Almost 17 years since we last played them, didn’t realise it was that long ago.

 

I remember the embarrassing trips there for League Cup games in the 80s.

 

If Alfie Jones injury is going to keep him out for a while, think playing either Burke or Smallwood in this game would be too risky. I think young Smith will get another game and maybe Flores?

 

As many ressies and U-23's as we can find. What's the point of a Wembley final if you can't go? Let them have the extra fixtures.

 

The players might fancy a day out though, chance of a medal on the mantelpiece?

Yep, I'd expect Chazz's team but with Smith in for Burke and Batty in for Smallwood. (No idea if Flores is available.)

I think one of them was my first away match in the 80s. We played them twice in the first few weeks of the season. John Fashanu was a **** who tried to break Norman. We drew 0-0

 

I was thinking of the 5-0 and 3-0 defeats.

I went on motorbike, via the Humber ferry, for the 5-0, fairly sure it was 0-0 at half time. Happy days!
