It’s a loan fee of circa £1.5m then the balance of the £5m to be paid if he agrees the 2 year extension in the summer when his contract expires, we did similar with Barry year back from City.
If he doesn’t impress he goes and if he does well he gets a 2 year deal. Much better than some of the donkey deals we’ve done in Jan with long expensive contracts, for player who flopped, like Tosun, who just gone - a Fat Sam Special him.

Didn't Vidic and Evra start a little shaky? In the end Vidic is one of the best CB of the last 20 years to play in the PL.
Yeh both had a poor first 6 months (can't remember if they were in the team that won the league cup but either way generally poor) From the start of the next season they were reborn, helped to overthrow Chelsea's dominance and reclaim the title.

Bournemouth turned down £25m from United for him last Jan, and £13m from West Ham iirc last summer as he went into his last year. Dumb as **** decision.
He is a CF with no assists or goals this season and only 6 goals and 4 assists last season .I agree they should have sold him last season as imo he was dire then .
