The problem is, the journalists covering transfer windows can’t win. The fans are hungry for news and the agents are also full of chatter behind the scenes to try and manipulate markets the way they want. That’s without clubs briefing journalists on players which absolutely happens. Your reporting can only reflect the information you have to hand. The problem is more with fans who are so desperate for the thrill of it all that they take everything reported as fact if they like it and “fake news” or bribed reporting if they don’t. The fact is, everything reported around players moves is subject to changes and should be taken with a massive Hulk hand full of salt. We’re talking about people at the end of the day and machinations with lots of moving parts.
