Chill Fosse.
You don't have to get all defensive about it lol.
Your a Goon fella ... you wouldn't know defence if I gave you postcrete, nails and timber

Rugby is stop/start game anyway.
Do you really want football ending up going that way ?

Yeah I can see referees being sound with being told they’d made a howler by some crocked CB from Scunthorpe.
‘I think you should view the monitor’
Views monitor
‘No i was right”
Guaranteed to work that like.
'More to do with the huge differences between the two sports and the fact it’s watched by sex cases who don’t know the rules anyway and are too busy fisting each other and drinking real ale.
... because footie never stops for some fanny rolling around like they've been shot ... aerosoling free kicks... goal celebrations![]()

The ball is in play for less than half of a rugby union match compared to 2/3 of a football match.

Thanks Statto ... but the main point is how the technology is used; quickly, efficiently and invariably gets the correct outcome![]()
And that highlights one of the major issues: They don't want to overrule their mate.Oh yeah that's the other thing I forgot to mention; ditch off the pitchside monitors.
Why are they needed? We should only be using VAR for clear and obvious errors in which case you don't need the on pitch ref to have a look.
If you have to say "Ooohhh, dunno about that one, you might wanna have another look" then it's quite clearly not clear and obvious.
It should only really be used when you can take one look and go "Nope, you've got that wrong. Needs overturning"
Hardly the same is it ?
Rugby is a game that operates in a stop / start way, scrum downs, line outs etc. It's built into the rules of the game.
Football is a free flowing game, or at least it's supposed to be.
No, the point is rugby is far more of stop-start sport. It’s often not used quickly at all even with fewer subjective calls.

And that highlights one of the major issues: They don't want to overrule their mate.
They’ve not used penalty for a while, so I can defo see him getting an outing today.I'm fully expecting VAR to give Liverpool 3 points this afternoon, just like it did last time we played.
Mornin.
Gonna have a catch up.
Bet Libby was cryin bout var tho
I'm not sure, I think Salah may have hurt his vocal chords which means he's just not screaming loud enough at the right pitch. They’ve not used penalty for a while, so I can defo see him getting an outing today.
Which is why it should be a separate body...
The best bet would be to recruit officials from abroad for VAR.
