As motorists pay about £36 billion in taxes and only around £8 billion is reinvested in the roads the money is there. Just have to redirect it properly. Maybe not sending billions in aid to countries with space programmes and nuclear weapons would be a start,

Well, I am eligible. Unlike someone living in Canada. My revolutionary proposal that City fans, no matter where they live, pay no tax but Man Utd, Leeds, Liverpool fans living in Hull and East Riding pay 60% would be popular. With City fans anyway.
