So we are back at "lockdowns don't work" yet you started the ball rolling by saying we, as an island nation, can't be compared to the island nations of NZ and Australia where lockdown did work.

Exactly, they knew what was coming and failed to act. Is that not culpability? Sturgeon could not act because she didn't have the powers to act and was only given them after it was too late to act therefor her government is less culpable.

Ferries very rarely kill people. Sub standard PPE does. Handing out billion pound contracts to cùnts who can't supply the respirators you've ordered does.

How is being the first in Europe to reach 100k deaths and the current highest daily death rate, 'positive news'? <doh> ... I'll wait

... but but but ... <wah> ...we are managing to vaccinate people in an untested and unrecommended (by manufacturers) way so that the stats look good on totals receiving first jabs :emoticon-0178-rock:

A National Audit Office report last year found that half of all Covid contracts, worth around £10.5bn, have been awarded without a competitive process and that applicants with political contacts were ten times more likely to be successful.

    Still, Clement Attlee...

The horse has bolted Albert, the lockdowns don't work. We've been living in various degrees of LD for 10 months and still having more CV19 deaths now than in April.

Maybe if we Lock downed in January, then it might have worked, but we have London, a huge global metropolis with thousands of flights coming in each day, Oz and NZ has 6 hours of sea between them and any large centre of populations, totally incomparable.
