Club has been in touch and are looking at it. I have also made contact with a project that is very close to offering similar services. They would ask a question of their clients "Do you watch Hull City on iFollow?" If the answer is - I can't afford it - the donation would kick in. the good thing is that they are a charity and get 25% tax back, so more bangs for the buck. There are other ways to do it, but I am looking at one at a time.

Tigers Trust run a program called Team Mates. I have just spoken to them. I think they are a very good fit for this. They have people referred to them, who need help and out of those they can identify supporters who cannot afford to watch a game. They also have a secure donation platform and as a charity, 25% gift aid, which means they can do more. Donations can be identified would be ring fenced for match passes both audio and video.
Supporters facing hardship could also contact them in confidence and we as donors could be assured that the passes go to the right people.

Whilst I understand that Team Mates is aimed at the over 55's, I know that Tigers Trust has the reach within the wider community as the OSC has donated funds towards providing training places for under privileged children at the summer training days.

I think that there would be more of a chance that the club would supply codes to Tigers Trust to distribute than say just to me as an individual.

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I don’t think we should limit it to over 55s. Age should be irrelevant on this

    I don't think that's what he said?

I think he said they usually do over 55s but have been able to support kids so there must be flexibility?

The Team Mates program is aimed at over 55's, but Tigers trust has been working in the community during Covid

This is extracted from the TT web site shows why I contacted them
    • Partnering up with charity His Church to deliver six tonnes of fresh food and 2000 drinks to NHS workers at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.
    • Becoming an official partner in the ‘crisis response’ to Hull and East Yorkshire communities, working in partnership with the local authorities, CCG and other charities and organisations.
    • Using our vans to help St.Michaels Youth Project deliver food to community organisations such as Hessle Road Network, Care Leaving Team and Hull Resettlement Project (an organisation that helps homeless single people).
    • Working throughout Hull and East Yorkshire on a daily basis to support those in need in any way possible from food shopping, picking up medication and even dog walking!
    • Delivering food parcels to participants on their programmes, along with keeping in regular contact with phone calls and emails.
    • Running the Tigers Trust 30 Day challenge and virtual football centres through our social media platforms to keep participants active and engaged, alongside quizzes and gaming tournaments to keep our younger participants involved.

    There is progress being made.

I have spoken to the club and they in turn have contacted the EFL. There is no way for us as individuals to buy vouchers for the games to donate to others.

The club is very supportive of the idea and would be prepared to work with us and Tigers Trust to get this going. They think it is very generous of supporters to do this for others.

A plan needs to be put in place between ourselves and Tigers Trust and then the club will move it forward.

It was acknowledged that to watch every game on iFollow is very expensive.

Things are still moving along. It looks like being raised during a meeting at the club on Thursday.
