You have a point. But he knows what our financial situation is like and should have been happy to enable us to get real money for him. However he has chosen to fall into line with the Turks to save them some money instead and be devious about it. Players even stupid ones don't behave like that ie in a disloyal way to their employers unless they are getting something out of it. Given he was going to go to Turkey whatever I can only assume he has received some money to keep quiet. Having probably been given a substantial pay rise to stay for another year. He has been laughing all the way to the Bank.

He knows that by running his contract down that any fee we would have got is now likely to be a nice fat signing on fee for him and a large slice to his agent,basic economics on his part

I doubt that Bright is actually that bright and that commercially he is being very much led by his agents. They appear to be a UK family business, one of their directors is a former Newcastle board member it seems. They act for McGuire and Rooney it appears too.
I think Bright will have been advised exactly what to do to maximise his future income. I do think it will have been choices made mostly for financial reasons.
All in all a very disappointing way to end his career with us.
He occasionally showed some electrifying pace and put in a few great performances. I hope he has a successful career and that one day he matures to realise he dealt with his move from the R’s in a horribly unprofessional manner.

Certainly one of those instances where we have lost out (ie we didn’t maximise on our investment). Hopefully we will get some form of compensation, though I’m sure it will be peanuts compared to a transfer fee.
Not particularly happy, but it is what it is.
Hope he achieves what he believes he can. I wasn’t particularly wowed by him, if I’m honest, he is a good player that has been inconsistent and can be found out due to trying to work the ball to his favoured foot. But many have been the same and more successful. We will see if he becomes an international force or a bench warmer in 18 months time I guess, when we suddenly think ‘what happened to BOS?’.
I do like a good winger though, so intrigued to see what we get next (from our own or brought in).

It seems he is on the move but director of football Les Ferdinand seems to have negotiated a deal that sees them better compensated for his exit, though they’ll now be without him for the rest of the season.
The report claims that such an agreement has now been reached between the two clubs, with Osayi-Samuel given the green light to fly to Turkey and complete the move over the next 48 hours.
The value of the deal is unclear but it is understood that the west London club had been negotiating a £750,000 fee previously.
It is believed that the player turned down offers from Celtic and Rangers to move to secure the move to Turkey.

He'd be approximately 5 times better than any player at the club in his position, if he arrived tomorrow.
Fair comment about the injuries, which imo, along with a lack of pace, prevented him being a world class player.
He was a proper midfielder who could head, tackle and find a pass, with superb technical ability.
Never believe a word "Football Insider" write, but I'd laugh if BOS did go out there, take look one look at the place, decide its worse than Brugge or Glasgow, and turn them down too.
He’s already signed. Istanbul is meant to be quite a cool place to live if you’ve got a few quid. Bit hairy when they lose but then they don’t lose that much.
