Not disputing he would be a better option than Phillips or Rhys. But he was not good enough for the level we want to remain at.
I feel Klopp and co thought 3 CB and a backup in Fabinho is good enough. Both first choice getting season ending injuries is just unfortunate, but also the reason I doubt we will buy any defenders. We won't want to buy a defender when everyone will be back fit eventually Lovren certainly wasn't good enough, but in hindsight we would have kept in.
Wolves reached agreement over Adama Traore move. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...s-reach-transfer-agreement-liverpool-19668412
No thanks. Very one dimensional and little output. The potential is there though and he's a really exciting footballer to watch. But he's not the one for me.
Can he play at CB? Thought not. Maybe Origi is on his way and Traore is a replacement. No end product at the moment, maybe the Kloppmeister could make a silk purse out of a sows ear
There was one or two on here wanting Traore a while back, he's recently scored his first goal in a year. Lots of promise with too little end product. Impressive running with the ball though, like a ****ing tank
If eventually Jurgen Klopp buys him he must have seen something good in him others cannot see..Who are we to question his judgement..
I know it’s tricky in January. And with covid etc... but look at what Fernandes did for united. A player brought in and just brought a huge spark to united and since then has transformed them. I know signings aren’t always the issue but the teams got stale. I guess Jota being out recently hasn’t helped as he was in top form but it seems like we need something to give the team a kick up the ass
We need to buy a CB this month. No excuses. Just so we can get Fabinho back into midfield even if it's for a few games.
You’d think this is obvious but we live in strange times. I read last week the City and Pep will have a budget of £200m this summer.....we will never compete like that, Covid or not, so in a season when we have no luck with injuries to key players, we should expect wobbles. It happens to all teams, we are no different and it is at times like this that I believe we really miss the fans and the energy that comes with them. Shanks was spot on with his famous quote: ‘if you can’t support us when we lose or draw, don’t support us when we win’
I said I wouldn't have minded him coming, but that was as an added string to a bow that was hitting gold regularly. I don't see him as a real solution to our current problems. Though I do think he's great to watch, a rare combination of poise and strength - if he can't go round a player he just goes through them. Though I love him for the entertainment value, I can't see him being more than a bench option for us.
He struggles when there is no space behind the defence so would be the same for us. He’d be a great impact sub if we were one or two up and teams were coming at us....but right now, that’s a luxury
there's lots of space in behind when you go with intent at sides. If you wander up and pass it like its a hot potato until a side is set then there's no space. first time passing, if you take a second touch it should be for an intent which should be to beat a player, retain possession or make a run. not cos theres nobody engaging you directly so you tap it about not intend on anything. Then the intent should be drive at teams, carry the ball up into that line and see who steps out, draw players. The layers not in possession need to make runs and demand the ball. Run the channels. be the option, if it doesn't come it doesn't come. half our lot stand round waiting for something to happen. But again this all needs fitness. I am seeing us back at 2017 levels, we might put a half hour in of running but then thats it we are done.
