i just think that the term hero gets bandied about a lot, i dont think he was a hero for happening to be on a troop fransport that got hit by a bomb but i do think he is a hero for the way he coped with the situation his injuries put him and and the positives he created because of it through his charity work. as for dying for your country most people join up because its a job not through a sense of patriotism or a desire to protect their country
Can someone please explain why fighting over a few rocks and ten sheep on the other side of the planit protects my freedom?
look at it this way, as a tax payer you're a shareholder in the revinue we'll receive and argentina were threatening our interests
What revenue was there in the falklands? Its just farmland ffs. Fair enough they think there might be oil now but its cost millions to dig round for it & nobody knows how much is there, how they can get to it etc.
think of it like the futures market Brum! they thought there was a good chance it was there but knew we didnt have the technology to get it out at the time, we took the gamble and its paid off! and its not like we were using the navy for anything else at the time
Always the Prods being jingoistic chest-beating halfwits running off to fight sand monkeys and dagos in godforsaken hell-holes. Who are the real arseholes???
One minute the Catholics are helping Hitler next minute we were victims ****ing hell tommy think before you type. Before the war started Britain met with Germany to discuss joining forces in taking over Europe, it was only because your King had his brain in his cock (again!) that he abdicated & talks broke down.
How we turned out?? How the **** does a nice country like Scotland make such think ****s? What religion was Hitler? ****ing thick **** must have whacked his head on the special bus, ****ing legless window licker.
what you still doing here ****o? anyway we're all missing what this was really about! the falklands all worked out for the good and hopefully it'll help pay off part of our deficit i'd rather we went to war again than having, say a 5% tax increase. and there can only be one hero! please log in to view this image
