The Yamaha and Ducati were both £19.99. I have done a few more, but havent posted them yet, a Honda CB500 and a Yamaha Virago, which were both £11.99, and a Kawasaki Z1 Ninja which is £35, though that one was a gift for Fathers Day.
I’m a garden man myself so if I tried to do one of them I would be left with more pieces than I started with

We are best mates now and I’ve bought him one the last two Christmas’s. The shop just past Chester-le-Street on the way to Durham is fab and the staff are dead helpful if you want to buy any more
He swears by Tamiya models I’m not sure he’s ever done any others
I was in just before Christmas when it was still open. The same young lad that served me last Christmas served me this Christmas. He remembered me, I told him he’d probably hide if he saw me next Christmas

Tbh mate, i ended up just ignoring the instruction, and just put what I thought looked OK.
I havent painted any, but ive watched a few YouTube videos of people doing it. There's some skill involved with that, some of the detail on them is amazing.
Bit of both really, some of the smaller parts I do before. Using emamels, it means I have paint them and leave them to dry overnight, and fit the parts I painted the previous night. I leave them attached to the sprue, and stick them into some polystyrene.....like this.
