We've been in this for nearly a year now, every individual in the country will have formed their own opinion and encountered lot's of different situations, so have developed their own stance on all this. From all sorts of ways.

I can't ****ing stand the 'you're wrong' attitude of some. Or, if you don't agree, it must mean you have a different politically leaning.

You know what, **** off.

I've got my own stance and I accept others, even if it means that it's not the same as mine.

If you want to/need to shield go for it.

If you want to get out and about, got for that too.

Just do the right thing. Don't be a **** about it, we're all in this for **** sake.

<laugh>

Well said Chief! :bandit:

second. I’m just wrong side of 40 to be starting again.
First is nearly 7 and I said that was that. But Covid, lockdown and a drunken backyard BBQ with the Mrs changed all that.

day before she told me I had been laughing with neighbour as he has 4 and they had been a nightmare so was having a few fence beers with him, telling him would be mad to have more than one.

If it wasn’t for Covid I was going to get fixed.
i was just past 40 when my last popped up. I wouldn't change it for the world, looking back at my lifestyle.

It is what it is bro.

Folk just need to negotiate their way through it.

I believe it will be science and vaccines that get us out of this eventually, but people are going to need some patience and resolve to see this out.

Wot?

Older people that are able should've used some common fooking sense, I saw a very busy doctor shying away from speaking his mind the other day. Fooking hospitals are at bursting point, and I wonder why, well quite simply 'some' of the people in there made some stupid choices over Christmas, because the nanny state didn't tell them not to enjoy Christmas and tbph I'm getting a bit fed up with all this nonsense.

I had to self isolate for a whole month around me going into hospital during covid. I can't go in again until I've been vaccinated. I use my commonsense it's not difficult. It really isn't!
bit of a rant?

Can’t help but be impressed by the speed that we are getting the vaccine rolled out.
Lots of reasons to have a pop at the government at the minute, but they are certainly doing the biz on numbers getting the jab.
The wife works at a hospital. At around 4 each day there is usually a phone call basically saying, we have x amount of jabs left over, first come first served. Very happy with the way they are doing it.
Also can’t get the Oxford jab at her place. The chief exec opted out as he thought it was daft, as they have the facilities to keep the Pfizer one at correct temps etc.

Abso ****ing lutely.

By the way, I keep getting these texts and e mails for IBD research saying 'when you have your vaccine', please let us know.

I actually think I'm higher up the list than I should be.
I will have a dilemma, I'd rather my wife, who is a teacher, get one waaaaaaaaayyyyy before I do.

Let's see though, I wouldn't refuse it or anything.

(Fwiw, I've been clear of the issue I used to have for over four years. Still get teatment though. )

This sums it up for me.
I get annoyed by the snide comments about people ‘flouting the rules’

Agreed, it's making quicker progress than I thought it would. Especially after the fears we'd struggle after not joining the Europe wide procurement (which seems wise with hindsight).

If we can get 15m done by April then we'll be in a good place come the Summer imo.

If this pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that modern science is ****ing breathtaking.
I read an article a few months ago about how they created the vaccines. Apparently they already had the ‘blueprint’ set up for coronavirus. As soon as they studied the samples from China, modify it to suit. Boom. There’s your vaccine.

Awesome stuff.
