Yes,well done to everyone at the Club in bolstering the squad.Indicates to me that there has been no issue in spending money in order to enhance our chances of getting out of League 1 !!!!
We've gone for it without a doubt.
I suspect that's the incoming done for the window now.
2 loans in, plus one permanent who was a free agent. 2 loans out, and suspect at least one more to follow. Not sure any money has been spent, certainly not on fees and suspect Ehab will have balanced the books by the end of the window? Finances aside, the incomings look better at face value than those that have left
Still think a striker is needed, one that isn’t a big clumsy target man.
I kind of agree and wouldn't complain if we got one, but we are also the second top scoring team In the league ATM. So it's obviously not the issue it has been for the past number of seasons. If it's a top quality signing then yes great, but let's not just do it for the sake of it. The business this window had been top notch so far
Imagine what it would be like if our strikers hadn't missed so many chances.
We are only in a pack of clubs going for the top two. It's not like we are well ahead.
Worth remembering that six of those goals came from KLP before he was banned from starting, four from Eaves who's now injured and three from Adelekun who's now gone.
I agree that we've done good business this window, though sorting the KLP situation would be the best bit of business we could do.
I fear that there will be a problem sorting out KLP. The two sides are dug in. I think he might go before the end of the window. The club will not want another Henriksen situation. I see a loan or permanent move coming. What a disaster for all.
I am impressed that we're looking to strengthen in this window (credit absolutely where credit's due as can't imagine many other clubs are going for it). However, I do remember that last year Grant McCann said after the win at Hillsborough on New Year's Day that he wanted to get his transfer business done early to 'give these players who have done so well some help'. In came Kane, Samuelsen and Wilks - and somehow the team seemed to start losing its identity even before Bowen and Grosicki left at the end of the month. In particular I remember Honeyman had just had 2 good games at QPR and Sheff Wed and then got dropped for Kane who was clearly a McCann favourite.
We needed more options in midfield but I really hope these new additions are back up who can step in if the current midfield lose form or need a rest, rather than brought straight in. I hope GM thinks the same but after last season I've got my doubts.

Realistically, in the current financial climate, who is going to pay a decent amount of money for a young lad who's played Approx 37 first team games, all at lower level champ and league 1. There is a vast amount of highly experienced players without clubs, much more experienced players which could be bought etc.. I just don't see it ATM unfortunately. The best thing all around for club and player would be the new contract sorted and playing regular football
If they are arguing about 2 +1 or 3 + 1 then why not 2.5 + 1 as a compromise?
Any deal signed would end in July of agreed year so if signed now it would be a .5 deal. Sometimes it worded that way and sometimes it isn't but it will always end in summer as apposed to Jan for example
They want to add another year to his contract, they're not going to just add six months and have it finish in January.
