Very sad news


A woman has tragically died after being hit by a car in Cottingham.

Emergency service teams rushed to Hull Road shortly before 7.30am on Tuesday morning (January 12) following reports a woman was struck by a Dacia Duster as she crossed the road.

Police officers and ambulance crews swarmed the area and the road remained shut in both directions throughout the morning until 2pm.

The woman sadly died at the scene despite the efforts of the emergency services. Her family have been informed.
 
Khalid Abdullah owner breeder of many great horses our lifetime, including the irrepressible Frankel has passed away. A gentleman. RIP

I didnt know the gent in question but thought some here might... this taken from HCFB..

I am sorry to say that a loyal supporter Terry Davies sadly passed away last night, this will be especially relevant to the Goole Supporters Branch as for many years he was our coach driver. He was a friend to all of us and will be missed.
