I would just like to say at this point that I work for a PFI Company providing full services to the schools. Some people may know that PFI are very contractual and measured. I have employed extra staff during COVID, increased waste streams, increased consumables and all are past through at cost, no mark up and have volunteered in delivering FSM to those not in school
    We aren't all that bad

Sorry Rooch l really have difficulty with your second last sentence.
I can’t understand an adult with full faculties deciding that they will keep a government in power when said government is a proven liar, racist and misoginist.
Then justify their decision on that they believe the alternative would possibly/probably be no better.
Come on this has to be poorest excuse in the world - an alternative government would then never ever get a chance to at least try.
Now l openly lean to the left in political questions. However if one party thinks it will never be replaced will soon become corrupt and even openly corrupt - as today. And many will point (with justification) to the example of the labour control of the borough of Sunderland.
I believe that a government that changed at times lead to a better Britain ie from 1945 - 2000.
We the voters should cease to be aligned with superglue to a party but look closely at the party in power - if unsatisfactory then give the other lot a go. Fear of losing would perhaps galvanise good governance and hold corruption in some kind of check.
    Rant over. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

I just heard that Bonko rang Marcus asking what he should do about inadequate FSM, Rashford gave him a bollocking and told him to do better and ensure 'hampers ' were more like Bonko was used to at Henley...

Totally agree with your last paragraph. Supporting a political party like a football team is ridiculous. In the case of the most recent election, I do believe that a Corbyn led government would have been worse than what we have now. How could he have had any credibility in dealing with the pandemic when his own brother is standing in London parks shouting that Covid is a hoax?

I am a Labour supporter, but I could not agree with Corbyn....I doubt he manages his allotment very well.

Bonko in the last 12 months has shown he was not the PM the country needed. Would either Cameron or Blair been better?

Again Rooch l cannot logically discount a person because he has a brother.
I know from experience - l have 5 (FIVE) brothers.
I hope l am never judged on what one, or more, of my siblings does or thinks.

Give the opposition a chance for gods sake especially when the present lot show exactly what they are and frankly what they do for we non- m/billionairs.

None of the current lot in parliament fill me with confidence. I was hoping that Starmer might be the new hope but I'm yet to see it.
Cameron showed he didn't have the balls for a fight when he ran away from Brexit. Blair might have coped, I had a bit more confidence in him.

At the most basic level, the press, who have a lot to answer for, would use it to undermine him. But, he was lukewarm on a lot of issues that you would have thought that a prospective Prime Minister would have been firmer on. His earlier career, on the 'loony left' possibly means that a lot of people imagine that he holds the same bizarre views as his brother.
If the incumbents are no good, then a credible opposition should be given the chance to take over. Corbyn had no credibility with a lot of voters.

One of the main reasons the torries are in power is because they have been voted in by a huge amount of labour voters does that not say anything?

Corbyn? Under his leadership the Labour party were found guilty of anti-semitism and the racism is still as strong as ever in that party. He has also been shown to be a liar (As has Johnson)

Don't believe me? Go to Facebook and there's a page called Daily Politiks which is left wing run. Offer an alternative view to what they're saying and you'll be accused of being an Israeli bot who is paid for by the Israeli state to spread misinformation on their pages. Until them scum bags are rejected by the Labour party they'll never be credible enough to win an election, again.

I think this is the problem. The moderate voices are drowned out to the extent that I'm not even sure if there are any anymore. Its all either one extreme of the other.

It's turned into a proper socialist party now that has gone too far left wing. The vast majority of folk that I know have always voted Labour, but now they struggle to vote for them as working class men and women in the North East don't recognise or have much in common with what that party has become.

Totally. Corbyn is your archetypal Champagne Socialist, as far removed from the traditional labour voter as Kim Philby or Anthony Blunt.

Same here. As far as I can see, that's the point of having an election.

IMO I think if labour had stuck to backing Brexit they would have got in must be better to spout a pile of s hite to get in and then show what can do than to be cast into oblivion.
