Hope your team are wearing protective masks in tonight's match....wouldn't want to catch anything from Celtics 'elite sportsmen'.
His record suggests this is a strange one (IF true)? Doesn't seem to have achieved anything (to warrant a move here), but maybe he knuckled down at Dundalk and they see something in him. Maybe a punt as he's a free agent? Or maybe they've just seen the 'wonder strike' on youtube and based it on that?
He has played 40 games for Dundalk and scored 7 goals and played in the Europa league games for Dundalk. Maybe he could be a new goal scoring and creative No10 player we need?
He has gone to West Brom l always liked him and my mate from down south who is a massive West ham supporter couldn't understand why he didn't play more for the Hammers. He scored some cracking goals for us and although he left a bad taste in some people's mouths here I would have him back and he could redeem himself.
It was moved because this is the thread for transfers and it was already discussed when it happened last week.
I think others have said what there is to say about his departure, I also liked him as a player, and as I have already said will be a good signing for you.
Won't lie, hadn't heard of him before this morning but done a bit of digging since the news broke. He actually seems like another astute signing, we've desperately needed another midfielder for competition and a back up for Honeyman. Appears to be a technical player who chips in with goals and is left-footed which we don't have in midfield. By all accounts he joined them on a 2 year deal after having a bad injury, has taken a while to get up to speed, but now he has he's off. Certainly not a blow your socks of signing but a cheap deal, which solves one of our issues and should allow either Batty/Samuelson to depart whilst improving the squad.
Not transfer news but no where else to put the bugger. Mad as hell that there are only two players that have ever done this in the history of the game...
Medical underway: Hull City agree to sign 25-year-old – Exclusive Dundalk midfielder Jordan Flores is undergoing a medical at Hull City, Football Insider can exclusively reveal. The 25-year-old, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract in Ireland, is set to return to England this month. A recruitment source has told Football Insiderthat Hull have agreed terms with Flores and the deal is all but done. The centre-midfielder scored twice in Dundalk’s Europa League campaign this season, registering a goal and an assist against Arsenal in October. He scored four goals in 16 appearances last term, with his sensational strike against Shamrock Rovers earning him a nomination for the 2020 Puskas award. Flores rose up the ranks at Wigan Athletic, making his debut for the club against Brentford in May 2015. He went on to make 12 first-team appearances across all competitions for the Latics before loan spells at Blackpool, Chesterfield, Fylde and Swedish side Ostersund. In January 2019 he joined Dundalk on a permanent deal and put pen to paper on a two-year deal. A number of English clubs have been interested in signing the Englishman over the past 12 months with MK Dons and Burton Albion leading the chase for his signature in the summer. However, he is now set to join a Hull City side that sit second in League One after a 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Saturday night. Grant McCann is looking to take the Yorkshire side back to the Championship at the first time of asking. In other news, Leeds United have been tipped to bid for Europe’s second-best midfielder this year. But yesterday in the FA cup they were **** ( I’ve added a bit)
Aye, he's fallen off a Cliff, Byrne. You know, our Assistant Manager, ex Irish international central defender etc etc, blind leading the blind with our deadly duo management team.
I scored one like that against Penshurst when playing for Anlaby Juniors... it would have looked better with netting granted ...
