I think there’s a good player in Dykes and we’re just not seeing the best of him for whatever reason. Austin may be the key to unlock his potential. Warburton has to use his strength to hold up the ball with Austin playing off him. The problem there is Warburton won’t do that.

So agree with this....
Dykes has ability, and works hard....but now list confidence.

Kelman young and one who will learn and will be good in a year or two if we don't ruin him.

Bonne I am not so sure of. I would send him out on loan to a league 2 club, to play and regain confidence and see how he does

Quite a few of my pals thought Dykes would be a big success for us after his performances for Livi last season - just goes to show the gulf in class between mid-table SPL and the Championship. There is a decent player in there, and I think in due course he will come good, and Charlie coming in should be a good foil as a strike partner. For Scotland, the team is set up so he can hold the ball up and set up his teammates, and I hope Warburton finally has the players to fit this line-up.

Compare Dykes to Mitrovic (a £20M+ player) yesterday, both players lacking confidence and goals. Mitrovic could have had a hatful, but was wasteful too - although I doubt even he would have missed that chance Dykes had

Hope you are right Steels, hard to see it, he seems all flailing arms and legs without good enough technical skill at this level. Hope Austin can help him find what he's done for Scotland and some goals again.

Mind you, from what I saw of Thomas it’s a breach of the trades description act to call him a footballer.

After what I had seen of Thomas so far this season, I was ready to write him off too but yesterday I thought his was quite a good cameo performance which suggested to me that I hadn't really given him a fair chance.

I agree in Charlie's interview yesterday he said when he joined QPR they had an old experienced team that got promoted.

Mark Warburton has confirmed that QPR are on the verge of finalising a deal to sign Jordy de Wijs from Hull City.
The Dutch defender, who recently turned 26, is set to join on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent move.

Rangers manager Warburton said: “It’s close. There are some bits and pieces to be done, but it’s certainly getting very close and hopefully there will be one or two more after that as well.

“It’s going to be a very busy time for many clubs. Hopefully we can get one or two across the line.”

De Wijs’ arrival would pave the way for Conor Masterson to leave QPR on loan.

Rangers are hoping to also complete a deal to sign winger Alfie Doughty from Charlton this week.

They have indicated that they would be willing to loan Doughty, 21, back to the Addicks for the rest of the season

Warbs then replaced Dykes and Bonne with 2 yellow plastic players and then Charlie managed to score. Apparently, the 2 plastic players impressed the Gaffa.
