Imagine a top trump set of our recent managers, (if you can't bring yourself to read any further I fully understand), and if one of the categories was 'Premier League contribution' - who would you score lower, Moyes or Mic Mac?

Any credit to MM for his promotion etc goes under another category, this is purely prem related.
He's got 2 record breaking relegations, le tallec, Alan Stubbs andy gray, Kelvin Davis, Jon stead, Tommy Miller etc etc.

    Moyes is, well, moyes.

On a 0-10 rating moyes 0, mic mac -1 for me.
But only because I'm in a good mood.

Moyes is by far, I cannot abide the horrible creepy freak, we finished his dream when we got to wembley and he got the sack and he came here with one ambition and made it clear from the start, mick was **** in that season but still like him

MM had a far worse side to start with and is likeable. Moyes helped **** our club up further and is a c###.

    Interesting.
I think micks 'achievements' were worse, but moyes was by far (imo) the most loathsome of the two.

Absolutely 100000% this. Dint think anyone could put Moyes above any manager. He’s on a par with McMenemy for me

Moyes's problem was that he came when we were well and truly ****ed, admitted we were ****ed and then ****ed us up even more. I mean, he manages to keep a basket case of a club like West Ham ticking along nicely, so how ****ed up must we have looked to him once he settled in. Not defending him, he was terrible, but as a club, we were worse.

Moyes is a better manager. His time at Everton was very, very good.

Man United were stupid to go for Moyes. They weren't stupid enough to go for Mick.

Lawrie Mac would still be the trump card, closely followed by Howard.

We're not talking about bridge or whist (nomination whist- how to find out which of your friends is a git), but top trumps!

PS Cross Country Vehicles was my favourite iirc.

MM at least tried his utmost to try and keep a bad side fighting against relegation, Moyes gave up after 2 games!

Moyes said we were in a relegation battle almost before the start of the season and every one of his appearances before camera sucked some more life force out of your body, like some football dementor.

Mick Mac never admitted defeat and tried his best to instill hope when he was in front of camera.

If we'd have had Mik Mac instead of Gollum we might have stayed up that season.

If we'd have had Gollum instead of Mik Mak for either of those seasons we would still have been relegated plus we would have had the life sucked out of us, and each of those seasons would have made last year's first lockdown look like happy hour in a strip club!

On that basis I would give Mik Mac 3 and Gollum 2.

Only because I'd rate Sgt Wilko as a 1 and couldn't rate anyone as 0 because at least they gave a focus for our hate, and if there was nobody there at all we'd have had so much pent up anger that the aggro rate on Wearside would have resulted in Police closure of almost every pub.

Based on their performances with us there's not much to choose between them. But I'd prefer to go for a pint with Mick than Moyes so on that basis Moyes gets the lower score!

Moyes gets a way lower score than MM. Moyes had a good team with momentum from the previous season to walk into and a few quid to spend. He broke our transfer record. He announced after 2 or 3 games that we'd be struggling in a relegation battle that season. His team never even tried.

MM had really **** players to work with and no money to spend. We kind of always knew that we'd be on a hiding to nothing that season.

MM had **** players to work with that he'd spent 2 yrs assembling.
He wasted what money he had on Kelvin Davis, andy gray, and Jon stead et al.

I'd really really like to know the truth of moyes, mvilla, ndong, and jillybodgejob. Imo he had no say in any of them, the job was completely mis sold to him, and what I really hate him for is not walking away as soon as he found this out.
    No facts, just my interpretation.
The alternative, as others think, is even worse, so if I'm wrong I hate him even more.

On a personal level moyes way worse than mm.

However, 2 record breaking embarrassing relegations beats 1 soul destroying one for me.

    New revised top trump scores:
    Prem league 'achievements'
    Moyes -5
    MM -10

    Character

    MM 6
    Moyes -67,587

Wouldn’t it be nice if everything came out when a manager leaves so you could find out what really happened
