Would have said that’s true a couple of seasons ago. But we’ve got a crop of great young players coming through and a peppering of established talent.

Squad still has a number of players who just aren’t good enough though especially in Centre midfield

Gibson was a piss head and ruined himself.

He’s now supposedly cleaned up his act and is playing for Neville at Salford btw.

I once watched a United vs Burnley game in a pub in Hale, he was sat at our table cheering United on, pissed out of his face. Think he was on Everton’s books at the time.

He got done for drink driving twice irrc whilst he was with us. Numerous stories of him arriving at training stinking of ale and the like. Shame as he was a decent player before the ale got him.
