Would it have killed him to have made the announcement at 4 or 5? I think it's created a bunch of stress and panic (in the short term) that could have been easily avoided. A minor thing in the grand scheme of things.
He blatantly said on the Andrew Marr show on Sunday that there was no issue with the virus spreading to children and schools will stay open, 24 hours later after allowing thousand of kids to potentially spread the virus, he then shuts schools down, causes mass panic around the country. Its pure negligence.
The fact that in Northern Ireland, all teachers had a staff training day yesterday with kids at home and teachers were told to create a months worth of work. Boris gives teachers 12 hours notice in England to prepare work.
Boris knew full well at the weekend, probably even before that he was going to shut everything down. Yet he failed to act.
