Its a toss up that one. Gooch has more energy but as with Maguire, he disappears for long spells, but both are great impact players off the bench and more to the point are interchangeable. That team with players like Embleton, Curry, Neil, Hume, and O/9 to come in, looks very tasty, we have a very good squad imo, almost ruined by a shockingly bad manager, we now have a coach in who has made a huge difference already, cant wait to get going and the sooner the better. What is good I would imagine every single one of us will pick a different team and formation. Hopefully when all are fit we should have a bloody good bench as well plus a couple of new signings. May push Dan Neil down the pecking order again.
Would be a shame that, but it does show how strong we are, Dan would have played regularly at most L1 clubs already and should get a fair chance now with LJ in charge. He has the ability to make as big an impact as Diamond has imo., we will see. All players are different and some take a while to settle. but the ability is there no doubt about it, he showed it in spades pre season, only Parky saw otherwise, the rest is history..
I deffo think that Johnson will play onien in midfield when he's fit again for the simple reason that, that is his natural position and he has the energy Johnson likes to play there
