Players want to play in front of big crowds, and I think this pandemic will have reminded them of how much they miss it. Anyone that folds in front of fans isn't worthy of being a sunderland player in my opinion but we do need to curb the morons who immediately get on the backs of individuals the second something goes wrong

being given a rousing welcome onto the pitch, applause when things go right (and the inevitable groans when it does not) are what gets a player 'up' for the game...they all want the applause as much as we all want praise when we do well whatever our jobs. the first full ground might be a tad much but i am sure they will just get on with the game.
By the time we can get a near full house, I genuinely don't think many of our current squad will still be here. We will either have been promoted by then, or will have had a squad overhaul.

I reckon most of it comes from coaches and the freedom players are given. LJ looks like exactly the type of coach that will encourage players to have a go. If we see players having a go we will be right behind them, we always have been. I have been in big crowds when we get on the front foot and make mistakes but the roar gets louder. If they have a go we will give them 10% extra energy and bravery...
That often works when we're not 'on the front foot' too An example is when I was at Bournemouth a few seasons ago (with Smug) and they scored whilst we were singing Catts' 'spirit in the sky' song . . . . our singing just got louder, and we could see that the Bournemouth fans were visibly shocked We went on to win, and it really was 'a grand day out'

I think the players and manager will be looking forward to showcasing the new playing style for all the fans to see. Streaming just isn't the same.
And Ross's, he couldn't manage Baldwin who totally lost it and from December stated that his mind wasn't up to it and couldn't play at home. Otherwise I totally agree, a good motivational manager should be able to manage the players psychic
That's the best thing about Sunderland fans, like it's been said before, if the players show the effort that's expected of them, we will back them above and beyond. If the opposition score when we're doing well, the backing will get louder. I think that's what made playing at Roker Park so special and why I loved going to away games - because of the atmosphere that the fans generated.
I don't think the rules will allow anything near a full house this season. We will only be allowed a few thousand in (if anyone) for the rest of the season. What's more concerning to me is the season not being completed again. Wait another week or 10 days or so and the effects of Christmas on the spread of the virus will become evident. Hope Im wrong obviously, as I can't ****ing wait to get back with the bairn!
