You’ll never know the joy of missing the bulk of first year university lectures leading Gateshead to Europe.
FM12 is my best memory, taking over from Steve Kean at Blackburn, keeping them up. Over 3 seasons we broke into the top 10 and won an FA Cup along the way. Was a proper squad that, blitzed the league Took West Ham after and we finished 6th with another FA cup, Wolves was another job but we never won a trophy, dunno why. But I didn't like being the Wolves manager one bit, maybe too much orange. Decided to yeet outta England cos I wasn't getting offered the top jobs. Took the Roma job, and was really fighting for a top spot, tough league that, beat Napoli 5-0 in our first game and then went on to draw 6 in a row. Tony Coton and my OG Blackburn backroom staff followed me throughout, proper loyalty.
Nah ... was old PlayStation... all different venues and all different species ... missus bought it first year we were together (so about 25 years ago) damn near spent the whole Xmas on it ...
Too easy to play as Liverpool I feel I have to earn my stripes before taking that job. I start in the Spanish 2nd as Almeria get promoted then push the established clubs while winning a cup or two, I'm building a solid reputation of playing scintillating attacking football. Then it's onto Nottingham Forest and promotion into the PL and a European finish in the first season with good cup runs. Then it's a CL spot and Forest are back playing in the European Cup after many, many years I'm a club legend and recognised as one of the best young coaches in Europe and the big boys are coming knocking I turn down Madrid, I turn down Barca, I consider Bayern but my manager is a life long Liverpool fan and his heart belongs at Anfield, l reluctantly take over from from the retiring club legend that is Klopp and order the board to commission a statue for the outgoing manager and announce that I can only dream of achieving his success. Then it begins. The above is why I no longer play it. @West WindsR
