Christmas Cocktail quiz time

What am I about to make?

Clue - The vermouth isn’t ideal to be honest, but they don’t even make the one in the original recipe, so I’m making do for now to see if I like it. If so I might get something a bit more bitter to use.

EDIT - There’s sugar syrup and a cocktail shaker just out of shot too

Was a lot easier in the olden days, one large bucket and everyone pours in whatever booze they had...

Corpse Reviver No.2?

Should be Kina Lillet instead of Nolly Prat right?

In answer to your question,'what am I about to make'?

With your cooking and cocktail making skills and bearing in mind that the female species like to be lavished with such things.....I'm guessing LOVE?:emoticon-0130-devil

Bang on Stockholm <applause>
You win the cocktail of your choice from whatever ingredients you have to hand...

Yes it should have been Kina Lillet, but they don’t even make that anymore (so Vespers are bollocksed too)
Apparently Lillet Blanc will do, although Cocchi Americano is closest, but even Diffords says just a Vermouth will do, so that was that.
Tasted perfectly acceptable to me, although I’ve never had one with Kina.

Must say I do enjoy everyone's thoughts on here, some i agree with, some i don't but you learn that everyone is entitled to opinion. Sometimes I've put something on and then think what an idiot why did I put that. At the end of the day we are all on here because we love City, I know like me some go to games some don't but we are all here for the same reason. On a different note I've got to mention that a few weeks ago my Dad went into a care home, unfortunately a couple of weeks after been in there I got a phone call saying out of the 49 residents in there 22 had coronavirus and my Dad was one of them, since then unfortunately a number have passed away, they said my Dad was seriously ill which was obviously a big worry but today the home rang said he had Christmas dinner and they then put him on the phone, his first words where, happy Christmas son, how's city doing. It was great to hear them words obviously taking nothing for granted but hoping he can now battle on though it. Anyway after the year we have all had i think none of us should take anything for granted and enjoy life in the best way we can.

Great post, I second your last sentence, don’t take anyone/anything for granted.

This time last year, we were celebrating, my only bro (the one that introduced me to City away games) had the all clear from the big C, his stem cell transplant deemed a success, we were talking family hols. Fast forward, during the year, he sadly passed away suddenly, followed suddenly by my Mum, and of course Covid to contend with. I have to admit to struggles/have been in some not good places, and whilst we all moan & groan, definitely please don’t take people for granted.

Am not posting for sympathy votes, Johnbo’s post just resonated. Best wishes to Johnbo and his dad for his recovery.
