Yeah City in the SF and Spuds in the Final would have been a doddle like.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I just feel with a genuine quality manager for once and a good team that it was an opportunity missed.

Didn't really turn up.

Hiw do you know you’d have got City? You could have got Brentford and then Spurs.

We’d have been ball 4 bro, the one you were....

We’re not good enough yet, bottom line. That’s it.

Carlo is the man, but he needs a couple more windows to make that side truly his own. He’s the best thing to happen to us for years - barring the billionaires arriving like - as that helps.

Yeah but Butterfly Effect and all that.

Plus you’re capable of beating anyone on your day, all jokes aside.

We were missing 3 of our top larkers mate. Digne, Rodriguez and Allan. Our squad is nowhere near good enough yet to seriously challenge the likes of your lot, the ****e, City and Spuds over the course of a season. The odd game yeah, Carlo is the Don, but not an extended run, we ran out of steam tonight, big time.

He’s one weird mo fo imo. Always staring at the ground, even when being interviewed, never lifts his head to look at either the interpreter or the interviewer.

Done a good job for them like, but his lack of pragmatism will continue to cost them regularly at this level.
Bielsa sees it differently...it's a constant evolution that improves day by day and match by match. In the fullness of time he believes he can coach his team to be the best on the planet. His method is sound in his eyes and constant practise will eventually make perfect.

It's bonkers...but given what he's had to work with so far he's definitely still on an upward trajectory.

Game management is a huge part of the game though.

Constantly staying on the front foot and refusing to alter that outlook whatever the circumstances in the game is just pure ego imo. He’s been a manager for 30 years and won next to **** all, so I’m not sure his philosophy is completely water tight tbh like.

i actually think for the big games you're better off without rodriguez imo. In the big games against quality sides, you need quality as well as work rate. I just don't think Rodriguez offers that and i think it's shown in you winning your last 3 games against big sides without him. I think rodriguez is too much luxury for that

Digne and Allan are big misses as they are both quality players who also work hard too.

he's deffo too open but realistically leeds aren't going to win **** all for a while. I'd rather have my team playing like leeds than like sean dyches burnley

Fosse’s boys to **** it up for us at the weekend?

We’ve won something like 11 away games on the bounce in the league.

Think the record is 14. Next away game after Leicester is Liverpool, in front of 2000 fans stacked on Dole Mountain. Can’t see us getting that record.

Could be anything against Leicester. They're about as hit and miss at home in the league as we are atm.

Hoping Maddison, Tielemans and Albrighton push forward so we don't need to break them down otherwise we're scraping a bore draw.

Too true ... away wins already at Citeh, Spurs, Arsenal and Leeds but home losses to Fulham, West Ham and Villa <doh>... very frustrating ... Castagne and Ndidi's return from injury is a huge bonus for us and might just be the catalyst for eradicating the unpredictability ... here's hoping <cheers>

I see you didn't mention like Frank. Don't blame you Bobby.

I don't know what franks philosophy is, but it's okay. Would prefer him to be a bit more quick on the ball. If you ever watch Chelsea, the wingers absolutely do my nut in. Maybe i don't see the game right but a lot of times, werner, mount and chilwell in a triangle. we can counter because their winger is out of position/dragged out and you see chilwell running forward, rather than have wener run in to drag the defender away werner will stand there (same on the otherside with the right winger) and chilwell and werner are in the same spot. The right back just needs to stand there and lo and behold the winger comes back now and the whole team is set and ready to defender with 2 banks of 4/5 and we start passing it around not doing much again.

Pulisic is the same and Havertz but the positive is that pulisic can actually dribble it past players and run at them else its a lot of possession football but without City's incisiveness

you like my long ass post. Nearly as good as all my like spamming

I think the problems of Werner and Havertz at Chelsea is quite similar.

It's been mentioned before but Werner should be playing through the middle. He's a quality centre forward.

And Mount imo is doing what Havertz should be doing - the playmaker attacking midfielder role. With Mason there Havertz looks lost or I mean he doesn't exactly know what his role is at times.

Can I ask, what am I missing about Bielsa?

He's got a ****ing stadium named after him in Argentina but was only managing said club for 2 years... and won two cups.

Its like renaming St James' to Pardew Park cos of a Europa run, and winning manager of the year.

Then apart from that he's pottered about the world managing clubs and doing "alright."

What is the hype here?

Bingo, I am same. His teams run about, press and can be open. So he seems to be a ****e version of Klopp?

Personally I don’t think it matters what Leicester do, they can play their best football, but as long as our boys turn up and Ole doesn’t pick a daft side, we’ll tear them a new arsehole.

Things look too good atm though, so I’m expecting us to sleepwalk through a defeat.

He plays brilliant/entertaining football and is a great personality, what's not to like? You'd kill to have him at your place.

Loved watching his Chile side in SA.
