Got my sign up authorization from the hospital yesterday to get my stabby stabby, so I set earliest appointnent possible, today at noon. (That's about 28oclock GMT I think)
So I should have a nice red arm for Xmas.

<ok>

Also getting my blood work done today, so I'm getting needles sucking stuff out of me and needles sticking stuff in me. A very needful day

That’s quick. They not prioritising elderly over there?

I hate to break this to yez but 2021 is going to be far worse.

the next 2 months are going to make 2020 look a cakewalk.

Nice to see you've got a lot of trust in the Vaccine

Although with the bunch of clowns running the show I wouldn't put it past them to **** it up somehow.

sadly the vast majority won't see a vaccine before July and August and the issue is here and now.

my advice is keep your kids out of school and dig in safe.

No Kids <party>Also the Virus is no deadlier than it was months ago, just more transmissable. So its essentially the same as before, those with underlying health problems are the most likely to end up in hospital (or die), the reasonably healthy majority should be able to cope or will never know they've had it.
The big problem is that because it is more transmissable it means those who are more likely to end up in hospitals will be catching more or less at the same time. Of course this means that there are more than hospitals can cope with at once.
Thats been the purpose of lockdown, to spread out the critical infections so that hospitals dont become overwhelmed.
The Vaccine has always been the endgame.

If done right the vaccine can fully be rolled out by April. I have asked people I know who work in the NHS and in the Science world, and they all think April... if things go right.

Of course Johnson and his twats are in charge so I'd guess May or June

Unfortunately, it's killed people without underlying conditions as well and people well below the age of 60, You can't take a chance with it

mate you are missing the point on underlying health. its the flu and anyone can get a bad dose of the flu and be seriously laid low but there will be no hospital nor doctors available.

wards full of kids now

April is hopelessly optimistic as shortages are already happening.

I'm baffled by the fact that the Nightingale Hospitals aren't in use. There aren't enough trained staff apparently BUT there are trained staff in private hospitals. Why can't they help to man them? Maybe it's not as cut and dried as that, but if a private patient catches Covid and needs hospitalisation, it's likely the NHS will treat them
