Sturgeon is infinitely more capable and coherent than anyone in Johnson's cabinet of thieves and liars.
Four and a half years since the referendum and every single one of the main brexit players totally discredited.
"Brexit is easy" (Farage 2016)
"The cost of getting out would be nil" (Johnson 2016)
"We hold all the cards" (Gove 2016)
There's no blame to be apportioned here beyond Johnson. Not the people, not the opposition parties (with the exception of Corbyn), not Sturgeon, not Lord Lucan and not the E.U.
Not many on any side in politics come out of it with much credit including Sturgeon but a further delay simply not going to change anything and COVID not responsible. The last parts of the deal hinge on the eu accepting that we are independent

We can all agree that being a member of the European Union and more importantly the single market was never a perfect ride but it has given us relative wealth and stability. That and the influential voice we once had in Europe is about to be eroded.
The double whammy of Covid and Brexit is creating the perfect storm!
Hard times ahead in the short term I fear.

The E.U isn't perfect - what is? - but it's been a great success overall. Peace and cooperation among all its constituent states since the Treaty of Rome's inception almost 64 years ago. Levellers like the European Regional Development Fund has assisted disadvantaged areas. Erasmus and educational assistance and affiliation with job opportunities across the E.U. Free trade. The highest food and environmental standards in the world. Human rights. And, yes, freedom of movement.
The one real negative to membership is the extreme difficulty in withdrawal and disentanglement from the E.U by a member state. True to form, this is the single part that the Tories have taken to their bosom.

EU has no difficulty with us being independent. It jus understands that being out means that you don't get the advantages of being in.

They also have it in their interests to make it as hard as possible to leave as it sends out the message that other states shouldn’t dare think of doing the same.

Brexit was always going to be a bucket of ****. Only people became completely entrenched and were never going to believe that it was a bucket of **** until it was emptied on their heads.

It’s the most pointless act of National self harm in World history. We’re literally imposing economic sanctions on ourselves by leaving the customs union and the single market.

It’s very apt that the entire ****show looks like it’s going to come down to ****ing FISH. An industry that makes up 0.1% of our economy and of that, we export circa 70% of it to the actual EU <doh> But they’re seemingly so buried in the entire BS ideology that they’re going to crash our economy for it by leaving with no deal.

Little krankie can get ****ed with her delay tactics. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks now, the vote is done. Action it and move on.

Not gonna happen and the delays are doing nothing but stopping us moving forward. Yes there is COVID etc, but we just need to get it done and start moving forward. People like Krankie want to keep us purgatory because they can't accept democracy. It is selfish petulance.

The situation has changed..
No it hasn't.
You don't want it, you can't accept it so you continue to moan about it and belittle those who can see the benefits.

Now imagine if we had all those allegedly intellectual people accept the will of the people and sought to support a deal then maybe we'd have had an acceptable deal 2 years ago and we certainly wouldn't have this knobba as prime minister

Let's see the benefits unfold... I can't wait tbh.. I guess they'll just blame covid though.
