Don't you agree there is something truly comical about two posters who have consistently criticised any reference to stats and rubbished comments based on them, suddenly changing their tune when DHCanary posts another stats table -- which the two posters haven't even bothered to look at properly? I'd say "comical" was a polite understatement.
I like Robbies stats

I did suggest a separate thread for all the X to the power of G nonsense
a short while ago... but was shot down in flames!?
I'm happy for it to exist - as long as statistical tosh is restricted to
this one thread and doesn't infiltrate normal football threads <ok>
The idea that stats have no place in "normal football threads" really does say it all <doh>

Table differs somewhat from Experimental 3-6-1, not sure how their calculations differ. This one claims to use Opta statistics, and the difference between xG/xGA and actual goals scored/conceded is much smaller.
Having access to genuine Opta stats would be fantastic, but the unlikelihood of footballxg having such access prompted me to enquire further. All they would say was that their stats come from "a 3rd party based on Opta methodology". Since Opta developed the concept of xG in the first place, I guess all publishers of xG data can say the same thing. Pity because, as I say, to have access to "the real thing" would be fantastic: as they say in the investment world "If it looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is" <laugh>

<cheers> But please don't Like my posts Gandy. I wouldn't want to give up my position at the top of the leaderboard for least liked posts (just 14.25% at the moment and going in the wrong direction -- upwards).

According to football critic Blackburn who are 13th and have 15 points less than us have a better statistical ranking then Norwich who are first
The linked table actually has Blackburn 11th and ranked equal with us on 68. The only teams ranked higher are Bournemouth, Swansea and Brentford.

From FC's FAQs (my italics): "FootballCritic (FC) has one main purpose - to help football fans of every level of obsession understand and enjoy the game just a little more." Sound familiar?

It has updated as it is a Monday, but they were 13th on 71 and we were 65 I think

<ok> Of the last three teams we've played, all of them decent, Blackburn provided the stiffest test. They've picked up fewer points than their performances have warranted.
