States on his Wikipedia profile that he has already signed for us. Also says "He has spent prolong spells out through injuries". Hence my earlier comment about walking through doors!
True lets hope it pays off as he is a rather big player so maybe he can bully the defences etc and he isn't slow I've heard
now thats a brave new policy if true, can someone tell em ive signed as well, im gonna fly back next week!
Needed to be done several games ago but won't get any prolific scorer now - all about damage limitation though think we need a CB also as Robbo is below his best. Maybe a change of personnel could give us some points to at least stop the rot. The upside to any loans would be letting the young lad Marquis, we are expecting too much from perhaps (he's no Mark Kennedy), get his operation out of the way and get back to full health. It also could afford KJ the extravagance of playing players in their natural positions.
Not much difference to last season then - promises that didn't materialize. The cynical might think it was done to boost season ticket sales for the few that chose a ST based on the ambitions that were forthcoming from the club... That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing as long as the team that they couldn't get into was a decent prem side with a large squad like Man Utd etc but with what's been banded about that's would appear to be about as likely as Turkeys voting for Christmas!
Unfortunately this appears to be another panic signing by KJ to add to his long list of strikers who have been useless at Millwall. Akinfenwa,Savage,Kandol (he did score a few goals),GiftonWilliams,Pericard,Easter,Grabban,Grimes,McLeod,Andrew. The juries out on McQuoid and Henderson. Simpson isn't the player he was in 2007. THE ONLY STRIKER WHO KJ HAS SIGNED WHO HAS SCORED MORE THAN 10 GOALS IN A SEASON FOR US IS MORISON. Kandol and Simpson I think scored 7 each but the other names mentioned I don't think scored 10 goal between them!!! One successful striker signing out of 14 is a very poor record. We will be lucky if any of our current batch of strikers score 10 or more goals this season and the failure to sign a replacement for Morison during the Summer is reflected in our current league position.
Marquis had his operation yesterday and it was a success....who knew he'd have to go all the way up to Manchester for it Marquis is back down South now, in London...best of luck in his recovery and hope he comes back firing on all cylinders
Morning tom He's had a virus recently and has apparently lost some weight so assume he's bulking himself up again?
Simpson played up front with Mcquoid in a behind closed door friendly with Palarse the other day. Scored twice and apparently linked up well with Josh so could be the partnership KJ been looking for.
Not too bad ta, not looking forward to a weekend with no footy. Hate international weekends and will now have a weekend with the missus!
There's more to life than just footy mate and the way were playing the players could do with a break!
Morning Steve - I'm just off to knock a little white ball about! Apparently Mcquoid had a run out in a reserve game in the week and looked good (and Simpson scored a goal too - must have been a piss poor defence)
Simpson scored twice so thankfully gaining confidence and improving his match fitness as god knows he needs it but it gets worse - Calvin Andrew scored for crippled alice http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2472361,00.html
