Don't they judge fines against earnings? From what I've seen/read it could have been more than £83k, but the 9 months ban seems like he's got away with one to me.

The messages prompted the police to respond, urging people to treat Mr Molloy's grieving family with respect. Northumbria Police wrote: 'We would ask those commenting to show respect to the family of a man who lost his life in this incident. 'Regardless of his actions, he did not deserve to die in this way and the nature of some of the comments already being posted is deeply upsetting to his loved ones who have done nothing to deserve the pain and grief they continue to experience at this time. 'Please be kind to each other and show respect. If you watch the video compilation of this offender's driving you will agree the streets are safer with him behind bars.' Before his death, Molloy shared a number a videos of travellers on his Facebook page and attended the Appleby Horse Fair in Cumbria last year.
Did you notice how the police referred to the bloke whose property was stolen by his surname but the one who nicked it as Josh as though he was some sort of buddy?
Technically it's manslaughter and can't really be seen as anything else. (It's hardly self defence is it)? However the freedom for a judge to use his common sense had been removed. It should have been 'yep, guilty as charged, don't do it again, six months, suspended'. Next.
The comments from the police show where we are today, the victim becomes the guilty party and the offenders become the victims. Best not say any more.
I'd probably go a bit easier with the list above...possibly just castrate them. But I'd draw the line at my cigs!!
