Indeed it will be! I agree though, Bruce has a better squad and should be doing better but I'm not to worred about yesterdays result. The performance yes worried there but the result not really.

Also fully agreed Leeds should be fine and play some cracking football. Was it Pep who called Bielsa the best manager in the world the other day? What he's done for players like Ayling and Bamford etc is amazing.

That's the thing mate 7 of those players last night were part of a struggling Championship team when he took over, what he has done with them is outstanding

Maybe 1 or 2, we definitely need a commanding CB and a proper LB. We have a great kid who's a proper LB but Bielsa doesn't fancy using him.
We have a 17 yr old kid coming through who started off as a left winger, Bielsa moved him to LB for half a season in the u23's, now he plays either position just as effectively, Niall Huggins, one for the future, really looking the part atm.

Leeds should've been in for Wilson like... He's be happier there.. He's get service and he can actually play football... He's ruined his career signing for us

I thought that last night,if there's one player of yours I'd like in our team it would be him, think he would suit us, allegedly we were after him but he chose you.

100% apart from the surrendering of possession. He did this plenty against lesser opposition too. That's only got slightly better but to be fair that is always going to be the case when you are a defensive manager who relies on counter attack. Its not a crime. I'm not sure if its backed up by stats, but that's misleading too because you have to drill down a lot further to see where you have possession etc. People present stats all the time, but most of it is meaningless because context in a sport with so many variable is hugely important.

I don't need the stats really though because my eyes are pretty good. I know for a fact I've watched the other team dominate possession for 13 years now, and I reckon its defo got worse over the last 3-4 years. Bruce may be slightly worse in this regard (its hard to tell because I'm comparing turds and its not exciting), but not massively.

The thing I'd say is different, is that Benitez was knowingly surrendering possession. **** to watch but part of the plan. Bruce I'm not convinced has a plan, and he keeps mentioning front foot etc.

The side rafa left created chances when they attacked that's the difference. I've supplied one example above, but I can continue with others

Yeah he's chosen unwisely then he could've gone to villa.. Quite why he chose us I don't know. Maybe wages?

I would hate playing in our side... The instructions are just to defend while the manager bellows at anyone that dates to step up the pitch... They must all be sick of their lives and I'm pretty sure that's why Almiron and Saint max want out.... The others that he's given their numbers to willof course think it's great fjrvaxwerk or two because they want to play, but they'll soon realise themselves it's horrible playing under Bruce

Mate the discussion me and G4 are having is about two things:

1. Is the football ****e to watch
2. How much possession we have in games

No need to dilute it into anything else to be honest. The answer for both Rafa and Bruce is:

1. Yes
2. Not very much hence point 1

The bottom line for me is I want to watch football played properly again. I've had 13 years of watching **** football - for all Pardew at least had a go more often. Its just not good enough and the buck stops with the owner who appointed all of these negative ****s. Even if we were working on a paltry budget, there is no requirement to play negative football. You can still get out of a relegation battle playing football properly. Look at Leeds or Pardew.

We appoint negative managers, play **** football and don't invest to get better. It really is that simple for me.

The only problem is that the numbers don't suggest you're correct

Unfortunately they do. Our possession under Rafa was absolute gash - I'm sure I read we had less than 30% possession on something like 10 or 11 occasions in each of his two PL seasons. No possession, not gonna be very good to watch. Man U and NUFC played some counter attack in the 90's but it was part of an attacking style. Defensive counter has always been a bad watch. Again you don't stats to confirm it even, we all watched the games, they were **** and we got dominated.

I'm of course assuming no one is stupid enough to suggest we were good to watch under Rafa (specsavers is their only hope or watch another sport) <laugh>

possesion was low but we created chances with the ball... This is where people that can't read a game fall down you see.

I don't understand what your point is in relation to:

1. Are/Were we good to watch under Bruce or Rafa? The answer is no
2. Do/Did we have much possession under Bruce or Rafa? The answer is no.

Nobody is discussing who created the most chances. I don't know the stats on that but I'd say we created more under Rafa. However this doesn't alter anything to do with the above, we were still **** to watch and didn't have much possession.

Its like choosing one turd over another and being delighted with the slightly less smelly one. Why not choose something better than a turd?

You don't understand because you cannot see the difference between a negative defensive mess and a welk organised defensive unit with an effective counter attacking side mate.

I've posted the stats from rafas last 2 games and I'm going to keep going until hopefully you do understand...

5th last game

Like I say effective counter attacking side...

Look at the stats from our last 5 you'll see the difference :emoticon-0105-wink:

I'll keep going

0-1 win

Basically we were a good side when rafa left... A very good counter attacking side

We finished mid table and played **** football so not really. A good side would play good football and compete.

Taking sections of a season which suit your argument is nonsense. You judge on an entire season not bits that look good.
