RH - 'Prior to today’s press conference getting underway, the club told attending media members that McCann would not be answering any further questions on Keane Lewis-Potter’s contract situation'.

The last few years have really proven what poor businessmen the Allams (particularly Ehab) are.

They can’t fit into the industry they are working in, what other club pisses about with contracts the way they do? Every club has standoffs every now and then but City lose decent players so much because of their short-termism.

The best thing they’ve done is improve the academy, but for what? They should be making good money on a regular basis on it like they did with Bowen, but Clark, Tymon, James have all gone for practically nothing.

Now we are running the same risk with Lewis-Potter and worse is it’s being done in public and alerting other clubs.

It’s absolutely pathetic. The opportunities this family have had with this club. most of the football league would give everything for and they’ve waved almost all of them goodbye.

And that’s not good for morale is it
I imagine players want to sit down now and get their future sorted out by Xmas not wait until summer
And reece should be getting offered a new three year deal. Going into your last year getting triggered by the club is a concern re injuries etc and not good.
Steve Bruce always looked after his players and why he fell out with ehab
Wasn't aware of Reece Burkes contract was running down... The bad news is that he came here to develop his career and its essentially moved backwards (not based on his own performances incidentally, he is perfectly capable at a higher level)... more bad news is that he is consistent, not prone to injury, young. The Boy Wonder will no doubt offer something derisory as he will look and see Sean McLoughlin as a replacement and he will refuse his contract too end up heading back south.

To be fair, they improved the academy to prevent the likes of James leaving for nothing in the future if a higher tier academy came sniffing.

I don't think there's any doubt the club are trying to tie Keano's contract down to maximise future sale value but the methods employed seem suspect.

Agree on the others though.

I don't think the club are wrong for asking for what they have in the contract, KLP is their player and has only shown less the. Half a season of consistent performance and it's in L1, he will be a great player but he's still in his breakthrough season... BUT the way the club are handling it is absolutely shocking, disrespectful and ****e

Tbf the KLP situation stinks of the usual bully boy technique employed by Ehaw .. I'm sure the little shyte was bullied as a kid and now tries to hand a bit out cos he has the reigns .. he has done this time and time again .. like a p1ssing contest .. he should come on here he'd fit in well with some !

Just thought I’d post this for some of our delicate fans

in 2008/9 peps first season in charge at Barcelona. With a front three of Eto Messi and Terry Henry
A midfield of xavi iniesta and ya ya toure
A defence of piquet Marquez puyol Alves
And all the back up of a fantastic squad
They lost 5 games and drew 6 out of 38!!!
More than a quarter of games they didn’t win
Bit of a disaster of a season tbh isn’t it? only won the league the CL and the cup.

I’m sure Steven and little quill would be helpfully pointing out how much better they could and should have done don’t you? Really not good enough is it.
Surprised pep is even working in football after that disaster

Pop back through their forums and see what their fans were saying at the time.

Don’t let it play on your mind or anything, it’s not that important. Worse things happen at sea etc.

And obviously, now that you’ve whinged about it, I’m going to do it much, much more. Obviously.

Talk of missing points ? Its about the manner in which we have succumbed .. when it could have been prevented.. by a tactically aware manager ( which McCann quite obviously isnt) .. this is why people are annoyed. We don't have any right to expect to win games .. and we will lose our fair share .. but the tactics being employed isn't doing the team any favours. Our stand out players so far this season have had to put in so much work they are now feeling the effects and as a result their performance levels drop. There isn't going to be a sudden change in tactics from the naive one .. so they will continue to be asked to try and compete against an extra man in midfield .. the back four will continue to carry a heavy work load ..and mistakes will ultimately be made due to fatigue. This is were the frustration lies .. not because we have lost a couple .. but the way in which it has come about.

Exactly, not a difficult concept to grasp really, is it?
Maybe the delicate little flowers who don’t like criticism need...*checks notes* a safe space?

Yeah, whinged. Moaned. Bitched. Pick one, it's Christmas. Maybe do it in a funny voice, have fun with it.

Everybody has an opinion, you don't seem to like mine. I don't care.

I also don't apologise for "numerous paragraphs", I'm sorry 4-5 paragraphs is such a ****ing strain on you but I'm not fluent in caveman, I'll try to keep it to a few syllables next time.

I've just watched the goals again. The first two Blackpool goals came because players showed awareness of possibilities. Coyle was way out f position giving away a free kick in the centre circle for the first. They took really quickly and bi-passed our midfield and Coyle who was stranded and never really got back into the shape. The second came when their keeper released the ball quickly. I would have expected Burke to have headed it away but he missed it. The last one wasn't cleared properly. After that Blackpool passed it around quickly to score a good goal. It was a poor one to concede because we should have done better to get it away. We scored two very good goals as well. It's not all doom and gloom we did some things well, just not enough of them.

I thought a draw would have been fair result but, we did OK at times, and not so good at others - that's football for you.
