City win?

Which is entirely justified. We have probably the most talented group of players in this division managed by a talentless buffoon.

Agree with the last 5 words.
We have a solid squad finally, with cover in all positions and options on the bench; probably a more 'solid' squad than any other club in the division but do we really have the most talented players though? Aside from Wilks, Emmanuel, Honeyman? The rest seem bang average most of the time (ok, being very kind to one or two there).

Blackpool commentator loves Dougal, he mentions his name every 20 seconds,

No way are those shirts tangerine.
And no way are ours Amber. Clash of colours? Wonder how many blue/white kits are sold over Christmas. I want to see City play in The Clubs first kit unless we are at Molineux (and that's not likely to happen in my remaining lifetime).

I know what'll get KLP to sign - we'll throw him to the wolves on the radio and make him look like the one who is at fault, that'll work!

Why would he want to stay now he's been thrown under the bus? ****ing imbeciles, but nothing new there.

This is something that should've remained behind closed doors and that only should've been brought up had it been leaked for some reason. The club should be responding to the news, not breaking it.

We have, like most club's I'm sure, amongst our fan base, those brought up on playing fantasy football manager. Others are in the real world. I class myself as one of those. And I thought Iain Hesford was your all time best player ?

I don't want my post to come across as negative. I just remember the Hull of old at Boothferry Park :)

We have both had stints in the Premier League (granted yours lasted longer) and bad owners that have contributed to us both falling down the leagues. In some ways, you have progressed as a club better than us as you have a fantastic stadium and that has allowed your fan base to grow. This has to be the aim for all football clubs. Oyston would never invest in Blackpool in terms of stadium and training grounds so I guess at this point, we just have to be grateful we still have a football club and new owners.

For the record, you were slightly unfortunate last night. I thought you looked a much better team than Portsmouth who we completely dominated. We weren't able to do that last night against you.

I had a quick squint at the Blackpool forums to see if I could see what had prompted you over, and I couldn't find it, but there were some similarities to here, with a section of fans complaining about their own Club prior to the game, but I was surprised at the amount of praise from your fans regarding how well City played last night. It's quite a contrast to some of the comments on here.

It was the comment about beating the 'likes of Blackpool' that made our messageboard. It was always going to hit a 'nerve'. :)

You have some good players. Your left back for example. Hamilton usually flies past full backs but wasn't able to do that. You could just tell you had that extra quality. I know all teams could say this but I guess the concern is the defending. Likewise for us, terrible goal to concede from a corner which has been one of our biggest problems.

If only we had started well we would be up there with you. Not getting carried away just yet though. Accrington and Sunderland next so will be big tests.

why are we playing in white and blue? when did that happen?
When poor players are taken off because they've under performed why do managers praise them and pat them on the back as McCann appeared to do when he replaced Scott and Eaves. What he should have done is told them they were sxxxe and kicked them up the arse. Just a thought.
The 'no blame' culture this country has supported for the last 20 years?

It had been leaked, that's why burnsy asked the questions and kept digging for more

I don’t mind us playing 433, if it works properly, it should give us a good attacking team. At times this season we’ve looked unstoppable. But the constant like for like changes is really annoying.
The Blackpool commentator last night said he was very happy that Eaves was on his own up front, as when he wins the flick ons, it goes straight to a Blackpool player.
I never understand when the crosses are going in, from whichever side, why the players on the other wing aren’t trying to get in the box, leaving CF & an odd midfielder to try & get their head on the ball. A lot, if not most of our goals, have come from set pieces, because we have players in the box, not sure where the stats are for that. Whereas when we attack in normal play, the players are outnumbered.

Can you remind me what major trophies you have won? Is Dean Windass still your all-time best player?

Ah right yeah, of course, because winning a trophy in 1950 or whatever definitely correlates to modern day expectation. If that’s the case then Old Etonians are punching below their weight. Would also have to question what Aberdeen are playing at not winning more trophies after their European Cup exploits.

And Dean Windass was never our greatest ever player. Most favoured son, perhaps. But not all time best.

We do have a small but mouthy minority of Billy Big Bollox types who are evident on all internet forums - they've grown up with us when we've been on the up, in the PL, Wembley, FA Cup Final & Europe. It's a shame they weren't around when we were getting dicked by a lot teams who are, and almost always were, in L2 and the Conference, if they had have been it might have given them a bit of balance and we'd hear less of the awful ''we shouldn't be losing to the likes of .......'' It's yer modern fan, bless 'em!

My first game was a defeat to Scarborough in the early 90s, I’m fully aware of how **** it has been and I know it was worse than that.

While Blackpool are one of the bigger clubs in League One, I would have expected a better performance than the one we gave last night. And indeed against Shrewsbury. And Swindon. And Fleetwood. We aren’t entitled to win, but we should be disappointed that we didn’t come close.

He thinks he’s Billy Big Boots now, like Turbo did, scoring 6 goals in the third division won’t get you a move into the Championship never mind the Prem, the ungrateful get can do one for me, I hate players like him. Oh and Terry just confirmed he won’t sign a new contract

You know him do you ?
